LSU Alumni Party -If you want to be among tons of other traveling Tigers and local LSU fans, look no further than the a big "LSU Orlandeaux" New Year's Eve party being organized by the alumni chapter there. The party will be at Friday's Front Row Sports Grill on International Drive at Sand Lake Blvd.
$25 admission includes access to the party room and a buffet meal of salad, carved roast beef, grilled Jack Daniels chicken breast, mashed potatoes, veggie, dessert and soda/tea/coffee. Plenty of bar service available. To make sure you get a ticket, RSVP by calling 407-363-1414 (ask for Carmen or Brooke) or email FRONTROW0602@BELLSOUTH.NET to reserve.
I am with the ATL chapter but glad the ORL folks are doing this and happy to share this with y'all. They had a gathering here in 2004 Cap One and the place rocked.
You can get into the downstairs area without a food ticket, just can't go into the party room. Most other big party bashes like Church St. will be a crush of people and bigger hassle getting to the bar. I'm hanging with the P&G to ring in the New Year!

Sounds like a plan. I'm staying a couple miles south on I Drive and it looks like there's a trolly/bus thing you can use along that strip. But not a long cab ride either.

Hey we are interested going to Friday's Front Row for NYE. We aren't interested in food, but we are interested in coming for the Eve and having some drinks. Would it be possible to just walk on in or is the whole thing RSVP?

You can probably get into the restaurant and downstairs area and there ought to be Tiger fans aplenty down there. You can only get into the party room and dedicated bar service with a food ticket. I asked the same question but the only way the chapter could get the room free was if they had the buffet. They didn't want to have a cover charge to defray room rental.
We came there before the last Cap One bowl and did not go into the party room upstairs. We were meeting a few others and took over our own corner and high fived other Tiger fans in the place.
Nice place, decent food and acceptable service considering it was NYE

Wallys's on Mills
Might drop by tomorrow after the parade. Do they serve food there?

Wallys on Mills does not serve food but they have a huge number of deli/restaurants nearby that deliver
Come on by after the parade...Lois is the bartender and she can make food appear quickly.

Update...was there today, Tiger Band actually had lunch there after the parade and before they marched at Universal. 350 bandsmen in uniforms crawling all over the place getting fed at three buffet stations...was hilarious.
Cool upstairs area...and they have ABITA BEER!
Mgrs there said the emails and phone calls to reserve upstairs have picked up a lot today. They are hoping that enough LSU fans reserve and show up as walkups early NYE that they can just shut down the place and make it LSU only.
See y'all there!
