Orgeron was also asked if he felt his program was on the rise.

"No question," Orgeron said. "We're one play away from winning 10 games. We were 3-2, then we go 6-1. We lose to Alabama. We fought them pretty hard. We had a couple plays there we didn't make. Then we're one play away in the Notre Dame game from winning 10 games. That's not a national championship, but it's a pretty good sign of things to come. I do believe that we're building a championship program."

I never liked how "satisfied" he looked aft erthe Bama game because they didn't get blown out. Now he's patting himself on the back because we played them hard, we loss by 2 TD smh.

Now we're aspiring to win 10 games.

Under the last guy it was expected.

I just like the 6-1 part of the quote leaving out ND. You know damn well if they had beat ND he'd be saying 7-1.

Great, so we’ll win at least 10 games and be in a NY6 bowl next season correct?

Guy is way in over his head. Going to at least be entertaining to see him melt.

They quickly turned on and blamed Aranda for the Notre Dame loss. Never mind the fact that the only reason LSU was in the game was due to the defense.

“No I think I’m clearly in over my head and we are headed for some hard times. Glad I have that ridiculous buyout.”

- Said no person in history when asked how things were going with their job

So if O doesn’t win a championship in Baton Rouge, that is yet another statement that makes him a liar, correct?

Oh, Ree

I can’t defend the hire, but I can defend the quote. What else was he supposed to say? Was he supposed to say that the program is in decline? Was he supposed to say that the program is a dumpster fire and question the sanity of anyone who would be a fan, much less anyone who would commit to playing?

Don't know who "they" is, but the defense did lose that game.

Georgia took a 3 point lead against ND at ND with over 3 minutes in the game and held on to win. It can be done. With Aranda coaching the D it would be understandable to think that with 2 minutes left and them having 1 timeout you should be able to at least hold them to a FG.

I think the encouraging thing to take away from that game was we didn't get physically pushed around like we did the last few years. If you can't see that as a positive I don't know what to tell you.
