“Ed Orgeron says he was not informed that the players were marching. Says he got a call that the team wanted to meet him, they're at the president's office.

It was a player-led march, he says”

“Ed Orgeron says he spoke with the team yesterday about social injustice and racism. Said it was a great conversation.

Orgeron said he also spoke with his mentor Pete Carroll about how he's approaching the conversation with his team. “

Pete Carroll is basically the NFL's version of Greg Popovich

“Ed Orgeron says there are one or two more players thinking about opting out, but he hopes they don't.

"Even if they do opt out, we have depth, and we're still going to have a great football team."

“Ed Orgeron said his biggest takeaway from Pete Carroll in regards to social justice was "not being oblivious to what's going on out there." As much as Orgeron says "block out the noise," he wants to understand the issues affecting LSU's players.“

O is smarter than 90% of the posters here.

You can’t bring Poli Board ideals into a locker room.

Ed Orgeron: "When I say block out the noise, I mean come into work and take care of the task at hand. But I don't mean be oblivious."

Says he wants to listen to players on racial dialogue and learn from them.“

I hate that coaches have to feel the heat about social justice. They have to do what people want or get criticized

Who's advocating for that again?

“Ed Orgeron on Shelvin: "I didn't want him to leave...I thought he could stay here and be a dominant football player. He's 375 pounds. I think the best weight for Tyler is 330. All these things I'm saying, I've told him personally. I love him like a son. I hope the best for him."

Adds that he advised Shelvin to get to 330 and go have a great NFL career.“

I mean You could read through this thread. There are at least 3 posts about how O shouldn’t have to do this and how He shouldn’t have talked to Carroll about it.

He shouldn't have to do this. That doesn't mean he has to bring in conservative views into the locker room.

Look at all the shite he caught just for saying Trump is doing a good job in a very casual way. That's fricking absurd that such an innocent comment caused so much grief within the program.
