Optimism?

I have trouble understanding those who feel everything is fine. Even ardent Miles supporters realize he has limitations which will make it difficult for him to lead a truly dominant program.
Alleva's issues are there for all to see. HIs hires have been less than stellar, if not outright mistakes, and he was surely part of the bungled mess we recently endured.
The leader of the university blotched his responsibility to lead and let the whole coaching change issue play out without any specific end game defined.
No need to talk me off the ledge. I will love LSU and LSU athletics through thick and thin, but we really do look like a rudderless athletic program.

Yes agree, but I'm over it. LSU will be what it has been since 2011.

Go ahead and jump off.
We will need more room on the bandwagon after next year

Next year??? you act like something different is going to happen... Les Miles is still the coach...

There is a lot to be optimistic about for next season. Will have more depth and experience at qb. Young offensive lineman should be better. Every eligible pass catcher likely returns. Great incoming class will add depth and talent in areas of need (defensive line)
Not unreasonable to think year 2 in Steele system will be improved.

LES was the coach in 06 and 10..... the next year turned out pretty strong for both of those

LSU didn't lose 3 straight in embarrassing fashion in '06 or '10 either. If anything, Les underachieved in '06 with that squad.

I'm no pumper, I think we have a good coach but not the very best.We could probably even do better. Coming into the year though I saw a lot of people saying we would go 9-3 ish due to youth. But I didn't see many people saying there is no possible way for us to compete for championships because our coach is a complete moron. With that being said what happened this year that hasn't happened in the future for you to draw this conclusion? We tried to throw the ball much more often it seems like. We have showed some different formations, (not saying we utilized them all properly). We still could have the 1st ever top recruiting class and we return a lot. I just think some people are bummed out we didn't waltz Vince Lombardi into Miles office this week and are being a little over dramatic with negative expectations.
