The reasons Les Miles has won 110 games
1 LSU has at least 4 patsy's every year and has more talent on the field in at least 9 games a year. LA is talent rich!
2 John Chavis. The chief won the ganes in spite of Miles! fact deal with it!
3"Oh but at least give the man a chance to adjust" He runs the offense no matter who the off coord is and has been obliterated with calls to adjust for at least 7 yrs now and has openly refused. He will not adjust, he will just blow more smoke up ur a$$ saying he will!

Here are the facts and Main criteria for his imminent dismissal
1 Does not prepare well and is not prepared! Ever! over and over like a flat tire.
His philosophy is quite simple, consistant, well known, and certainly played out. ie,.
run your opponent into exhaustion hopefully. Only throw the ball as absolutely necessary
and by all means if you have the lead hold the ball, do simple runs up the middle and hope the Chief can save us from dispair. The comebacks by Alabama the last few years in the final minute will be etched into my mind like car wrecks.
2 His fear of passing choked Jarrett Lee to death. All LSU qb's are on a tightrope over the sharktank and have to feel scared to death to throw a pick. Proper coaching is to get back on the horse and LEARN! Everyone does not learn but you can only find that out by TRYING to learn. Hopefully that is what Practice is for.
3 The team is not ready at the line or ever because Miles cant make up his mind which play to call. He is so busy busy running the entire show that his mind is not free to imagine. Everyone has been schooled to wait for CLM's decisions on all matters If he would let the asst coaches do their job then he could step back take a breath and see the WHOLE picture and Then bust a move. He is not stupid but he is domineering. His assts just stop producing because he overides every decision and then allows no one to speak to the media because they are frustrated and he knows it and has that big paycheck to protect.
So to be concise.
1 CLM will not let the asst coaches do their job and shows no faith in them so they wilt. and kids dont get coached up as well as they should if at all.
2 players realize after the recruiting sales pitch wears off its my way or the bench, since they are at school to get a job on Sundays they shut up and wait their turn. and leave at first oportunity. be it transfer or NFL.
3 QB's are nutered not nurtured at LSU and are taught to play terrified of making a mistake
instead of being encouraged with a hand-up, words of encouragement, some on the job training teaching moments are wasted and bullying is administered. THAT IS WHY THEY FOLD BY YEARS END BECAUSE THET ARE TURNED OFF NOT INSPIRED.

See, I don't mind moving on from Miles, but that is a LOT of revisionist history.

Baloney. From 2005-2011 LSU was almost never unprepared for a game. They came out flat at time, but that is on the players. Rarely in that timeframe did you see our staff outcoached. Tennessee and Ole Miss are about the only games I can think of where we were not well gameplanned.

2 His fear of passing choked Jarrett Lee to death

Jarrett Lee wasn't quite the Tom Brady that time has made him out to be. He was Int prone.

2 players realize after the recruiting sales pitch wears off its my way or the bench, since they are at school to get a job on Sundays they shut up and wait their turn. and leave at first oportunity. be it transfer or NFL.

"His way" has created more NFL players than any coach in any era of LSU history.

quote:

3 QB's are nutered not nurtured at LSU and are taught to play terrified of making a mistake

Jamarcus was nurtured for 2 years. Flynn was. Mett was nurtured into a great Senior campaign.

some on the job training teaching moments are wasted and bullying is administered. THAT IS WHY THEY FOLD BY YEARS END BECAUSE THET ARE TURNED OFF NOT INSPIRED.

Link this silliness please.

Tyson53, can't take the fact that there is a whole world outside of Baton Rouge that might have a different opinion on the matter?

They're not fans so they can look at it more objectively than you from all angles. Some can agree, though not with all your points. And some can disagree. Although, few will agree you should be paying that much to buyout a coach with that record.

We got better all through the 2012 season (remember the turn around in that Bama game for Mett) and into the 2013 season. Then Mett and all the playmakers left and we were woefully unprepared at QB (again).

Well if you give the highest rated recruit at QB on the team more than one year, you might actually see them get better. Every team since the break have been forcing LSU to make BH beat them. He's a sophomore, first-time, starter. You can't learn what you learn in games on the practice field. Your team-mates aren't trying to take your head off. BH has thrown for 271, 280, and 305 in the last three games. He's learning, but you just can't see it. The learning process is not a pretty one in the SEC. Mett struggled his first year.

We changed philosophy along the defensive line, but wouldn't allow the position coach to train "his" recruits, because we need change now. We can't get the LBs in we've been missing under Chavis. The blueprint was to get a defense that mirrored Alabama, but we didn't have the players.
