Just realized this is the same "little O'Neal" from my neighborhood who used to come to my house and ask if my son could play ball with him. My son is 8 years older. He was always in my back yard with his glove and bat. He must have learned a lot. I gotta make it to a game this year to see him play. Can't believe the little shrimp is on the LSU baseball team. I'm getting old.

O'neal used to play in my backyard too. What a coincidence.

Me and O'Neal went looking for
One-eyed Willie's lost treasure once. What a crazy adventure that turned out to be.

It was buried in my back yard near big cypress tree. We found it so we moved to River Ranch.

Went looking for West Virginia University once when we were visiting colleges. We never found it because our GPS Nav system kept taking us to a sewage treatment plant.

I remember the time that a bunch of my buddies, including O'Neal, went went to the swimming pool on a hot summer's day and he faked his own drowning so he could kiss the lifegurad.

O'Neal Lochridge walked a little taller that day. And we had to tip our hats to him. He was lucky she hadn't beat the crap out of him. We wouldn't have blamed her. What he'd done was sneaky, rotten, and low... and cool. Not another one among us would have ever in a million years even for a million dollars have the guts to put the move on the lifeguard. He did. He had kissed a woman. And he had kissed her long and good. We got banned from the pool forever that day. But every time we walked by after that, the lifeguard looked down from her tower, right over at O'Neal, and smiled.
