Merry Go Round.....no matter who we get, the wins or losses won't be so crazy, and we won't have our laughable, lovable, hard-headed, verbally challenged yet entertainingly articulate leader to proudly carry the LSU banner anymore - the losses probably won't be as frustrating nor will the victories be as satisfying. I, for one, despite the numerous ups and downs, enjoyed the 11 year tenure of Les Miles, and expect the next 5-10 years to be much less entertaining. When Saban had his down years at LSU, I not only hated the loss but also Saban's demeanor - he was never below throwing a player or coach under the bus and showing it in full living color on TV - you rarely saw or heard that from Miles. Maybe that was his ultimate downfall - internalizing the loss, congratulating the opponent for taking 1st place while his group finished 2nd. Frustrating at times to the fans, but forever the optimist,,,,and lover of the game. I don't see that from too many big-time coaches these days. This I will miss!

I'd describe the victories as often being frustrating and the losses as infuriating.

Why, because you were so damn certain that LSU should dominate or be in contention to win every game they played? Or that the coach didn't act concerned and pissed enough at someone else not doing their job right? In essence, never able to adequately articulate a scapegoat??

Because the team often played down to the level of competition. Not really that inflammatory of a statement.

I will miss Les Miles, also, but am holding out hope that this is the beginning of another great era of LSU Football.

What you said, plus whenever we'd get a big lead on someone we'd let them back in the game in the second half and either barely hold on or lose late. It's very frustrating when you dominate a team in the first half and then your nice coach takes his foot off the pedal and tries to run out the clock starting in the 3rd quarter. The Clemson bowl game is a great example of this.

Watching the offense most years under Miles has made me want to gouge my eyes out with a rusty fork. So I'm not sure what you consider entertaining.

Things I won't miss:
1) Horrible QB play
2) Losing to ARKANSAS 2 in a row
3) Losing to Ole Piss 2 of 3
4) Losing to Saban 5 in a row
5) Check with me at the line causing back to back delay of game penalties. Even when coming out of time outs.
6) Having kick offs kicked short on purpose and teams returning them to the 40 multiple times a game. Or going out of bounds
7) Finishing "2nd" in 10 SEC games the last 3 years.
8) Blowing leads in the 4th quarter because trying to run out clock with leads instead of blowing them away.
9) Playing down to teams with inferior players
10) Having players like LF7 and Sheppard that are not used to their full potential because of a certain coaches philosophy.
11) Having a coach that is too stubborn to make changes at halftime or the during game.
12) An offense that has ranked 94th or worse the past 7 of 6 years.
13) Listening to press conferences where a man talks in tongues and can never understand what point he is trying to make if one at all.
14) Not game planning to take advantage of an opponents weakness, but sticking to what you know because its your type of football.
15) Recruiting QBs that are not pro style players because you like mobile qbs.

Have few more if you would like them.

Ehh there's 111 other seasons worth of evidence that LSU has always played down to the competition. This isn't something that started under Miles.

A lot if what you posted is just bullshite.

Misusing LF? He's going to break the LSU single season record and is close to the sec single season record.

OK, so that shouldn't be frustrating anymore. My mistake.

Just imagine that record if good old coach had found a way for him not to get shut out against Bama and Arkansas.

Yeah and the coaches in those other 111 seasons didn't have the players like LSU has now. Nor did those coaches have the highest paid staff in the NCAA.

Dis prove me then. You think that Fournette has been used to his fullest in the offense? No other formations that you could use his speed to an advantage? Maybe putting him in the slot more against Linebackers? Putting him as an outside receiver and throws screens? Maybe more underneath passes to him coming across middle? How about more two back sets with Guice running read options? Maybe line him up at fullback with Guice as single back and throw to him flat. Just a few I can think of.

Many of the complaints you speak of are similar to those of a lot of fans, including me. But, that does not dismiss the fact that we have had some very exciting and entertaining years and moments that only Les could make so enjoyable - they would never happen under Saban - that guy could never relax a moment with the press or his players without giving one of his tough guy speech. You could at least admit to that even if you don't like Miles as a coach.
