Solid all around analysis of both squads and what he thinks will happen or have to happen to win the game Saturday.

He picks Alabama, obviously, but he gives a lot of credit to the Tigers and admits it will be a hell of a game.

I think they’re trying to hype the game up a little more. I’d love nothing more than to contribute to Saban’s inevitable decline a la Joe Paterno, but this will take a perfect game by LSU, JD will have to play lights out, and Bama will have to come out sloppy and let the crowd noise get to them.

I like McElroy. He's about as "un-Gump" of a Gump as you can be. He needles Alabama fans saying his '09 team was better than the '20 team since they didn't play in front of empty stadiums and cardboard cutouts.

Despite being a Bama guy, always like Greg McElroy. Provides great insight and does a great job during the games.

McElroy is 0-1 in Tiger Stadium so of course he'd pump LSU's home field advantage up 
I do really like him as an announcer and analyst though. He's usually pretty objective and neutral even when it comes to Bama.

I watched earlier and thought he did a good job too. Enjoy him during games and couldn't be as impartial as he is. Then there are guys like Vern, Danielson and Tess that drool.
