One coach doesn't think Harris has the DNA

I am not a professional when it comes to talent or DNA for winning, but the coach who said this, and by the way is not named, made me mad and should others if they believe in Harris.

If Harris is 3rd team all-SEC at QB like the article states, then LSU goes to the playoffs.

Based on the QB citing Blake Sims and Jake Coker for reference, I bet its an Alabama coach.

Yea its def a Bama coach. We live in their heads just as much as vice versa. They know LSU has a special team this year, everybody is in denial and will find out this fall!!!

LOL at that coach saying that Harris doesn't have the confidence necessary to be a good QB. I guarantee that if Harris fails this year, lack of confidence will not be the reason why.

Don't care. This anonymous coach can say what he wants.

The results will speak for themselves.

Don't waste your time getting bent out of shape because some coach said something bad about Harris. (not a shot at you because I know it's hard to not get ticked off when you see stuff like this)

Pretty brave of that "coach" to say that and not be named. Sort of reminds me of all the unnamed inside sources we have around here all of the time.

The better question is if Harris plays to his talent level will Les Miles trust him to make winning plays in big games or will Miles go into his famous conservative shell and play not to lose?

I feel pretty confident you can rule out that it was said by a bama coach. The whole point is that the quote would be kept confidential and Saban wouldn't take a jab and reference his own guys, spoiling the anonymity of it.

No, this is either sumlin or bielema. Adding sims to the quote makes it a barb, since sims didn't sniff the field till he was a senior and Coker got beat out in his junior year by a 5th year converted RB (sims). It's just sumlin or bielema taking a pot shot to get under Harris' skin. My money's on bielema being the quote's source.

I don't see Sumlin saying stuff like this. He's got enough problems with that mess at A&M. I can't see him putting that on hold to put down a QB at another team. He's never struck me as the type as someone who wouldn't be professional.

As much as I dislike the guy even Saban wouldn't say this.

You may be right with Bielema. He was taking shots at a lot of people last year. It's either him or Kiffin.

But who cares honestly.

Kiffin is a douchebag enough to make this comment.
Saban usually praises our players.

But I don't think Brandon Harris is stable enough to become a Blake Sims or a Jake Coker.

Those two weren't exactly stable as sophmores. When they weren't doing shite or seeing the field at all.

I think so. He let Anthony Jennings loose at UF a couple of years ago. If he can show confidence in AJ on the road, then he will do the same with Harris.

That article is crap and meant to hurt Harris. Like someone else said, if he even makes third team all-SEC then we win the conference. Sportswriters suck nowadays.

All you nimrods who want to blame conservative play calling must not have been concious over the last 2 seasons. You must have missed all the poor play by Harris and not seen his obvious lack of knowledge of the play book.

Sure let's just open up the play book with a QB who we have already had to "dumb it down" for. Stupidity.
