Watching the Duke Game and how Harry Giles and Jason Tatum want the ball with the game on the line....the same with Malik Monk at kentucky and then n]there was Ben, Simmons was afraid of getting the ball when it was clutch time...Champs vs Chump..Simmons will be as big a flop in the NBA as he was at LSU.

One of the best freshman seasons statistically in the history of LSU basketball and u mention the word flop. You don't know basketball. Johnny Couldn't coach a 6th grade biddy team and Simmons still nearly averaged a triple double. Go jump off a bridge.

Best statistical line for a freshman in eons. The team loses him and bottoms out completely, but yeah Simmons was the problem.

Even if your flawed hypothesis was correct, how pathetic must it be to still be hating on a 19 year old kid over a year later.

You are comparing the wrong people here. You got Tatum, Giles and Monk then comparing them to Simmons. What you forget is Tatum and Giles have Coach K and Monk has Calapari......while Simmons had Johnny Jones.

So Anthony Davis is a "chump" (OP's words) as a pro basketball player?

he could not shoot all that well.

he can rebound and pass.

too bad for him, this injury. he may not ever break through.

he will eventually learn to shoot. he might have to play in Australia after his rookie deal, just to be completely over this injury and then relearn shooting from all over.

Terrible title for you wanting to beat down one of the best players to step foot in the PMAC. That being said, dude didn't give a shite about LSU or wanting to win a title.

Carry on

Simmons game will be much better as a pro than a college player. His skill set will fit in much better when he is surrounded by guys who can shoot. It is still a mystery why he didn't shoot more, especially when the game was on the line when he was here. That story may never be told but we do know that he didn't really want to be playing college ball and wasn't friends with anyone else on the team.

Perhaps he was trying to keep the peace by letting the other guys shoot more. Maybe he was pissed that he was forced to play on the blocks at times rather than being the full time point guard he wanted to be. Maybe he was just angry at all the pressure and attention he was under and wasn't getting paid to endure it.

Like I said, since we don't live in his head we will never know.

You can't make that argument with this crowd, been there done that. I even posted a video of Buddy Heild destroying him in their head to head matchup. Only response I got from that was Oklahoma had a better team
Thats about the closest you going to get to get, someone to admit that another team had better players on their team.....trust me

Yep. Blame the 19 year old and not the coach who has been coaching the game since long before said 19 year old was born. Makes sense. Just glad we've washed our hands of the Jones era. Nothing the mouth breathers say will change that

Pretty sure he was and is still close friends with Hornsby. Can't really speak for others

These players are exceedingly rare. All the more reason Jones is a sad excuse for a coach. Thank you for making our argument for us

This is nothing new, even diehard faithfuls could see that DURING THE SEASON ....But now act like they have amnesia when you bring this up.
