I am probably just as upset as some of you about the way we lost Monday but after reading a weeks worth of meltdown, I am ready to move on and try to help stop the bleeding when it comes to negative blogs, articles, emails, and tweets. It is not helping recruiting one bit and NSD is right around the corner.

If you think about it this year was not supposed to be our year. We were expected to finish 10-2 by most analysts and were hoping for a Sugar Bowl bid. The general consensus was that next year we were primed to be great and all the pieces were in place to make a run at the BCSNC. If you think about it not much of that has changed. The only piece that we would be losing unexpectedly is maybe Shep and as much as I want him to stay and live up to his potential let's face it, he wasn't that productive this year. Maybe because he was underutilized maybe not. The point is in the grand scheme of things our offense won't be losing much production if he leaves. Our run game will be even better than this year with most of the RB/OL combo returning. Our QB play WILL be better. (can't get much worse) I believe the only gap in the D will be from Mo Claiborne. As good as Brockers is they have A LOT of talent behind him and I think the D line as a whole will be wayyy better next year with the freak and Mingo leading the charge. Brad Wing will be a sophomore. Alleman a Sophomore. The Honey Badger will be playing with more than a chip on his shoulder. (I feel sorry for Bama next year) And as much as I hate to have learned this lesson, Monday was just that, a huge learning experience for Miles and the staff. So if we went 13-0 with a team that was expected to lose 2-4 games and maybe not even make a BCS bowl, what will we do when we have everything in place?

Monday was embarressing for all of us. Let's not make it worse by scaring some 18 year old kids away from LSU with DOOM and GLOOM!!!!

In my playing days when we had a rivalry or got beat badly or in OT, the next year we played that team we considered it a calender game. Everyone would circle the date on the calender as a reminder and motivation.

I moved on once the clock counted down to zero. It was a tough decision, but had to be done to keep my sanity.

With that said. The only positive I can make out of this is that it might have actually brought the team back down to earth in terms for next years season.

At least that is what I keep telling my self.

I agree. I kept telling myself once we go to 10 wins that I kinda wished we would have lost one early. It is easy to lose sight when you are undefeated and have nearly 40 days between games. Next year they will know what can happen regardless and be prepared. Next year is our year!!!!!
