Reading about the issues with OL blocking Saturday made me remember a couple great blocks from him. I jumped what seemed like 6 feet when I saw him laying dudes out once again! Keep it comin man.

He destroyed their linebackers on a regular basis. Too bad the O line doesnt block like that.

I know! He was the lone bright spot I saw when it came to blocking. He's such an angry, punishing blocker.

He missed a few here or there but he was otherwise superb. I'm not sure if he picks up the right man every time, but whenever he finds someone he's going to bring it.

Punishes his opponents on a regular basis. I wish we had 6 more of him on the OL.
Don't know why it's so hard for players to commit to the simple mentality of destroying the man across from you and taking him completely out of the play.

He is the most violent player on the team. He doesn't just take people out of the play, he takes them from the game.

surely you don't think it's that simple do you?

our scheme is a zone blocking one. in year 3 of Grimes it appears they have yet to master it too.

It is pretty simple to not let a man run untouched beside you into the backfield. These kids are playing line in college for a reason. I see it frequently in junior high and hs, but in college it shouldn't be that hard to know that an unblocked opponent is not what you want to let happen.

Whatever the scheme, a defender in the box should be hit and delayed from getting to the play. Pretty simple.

ETA: JD Moore seeks out someone to destroy, as it should be.

Will JD be drafted? We saw last night the benefits of having a solid fullback in the Denver-Carolina game. Janovich had a huge impact last night for Denver.

I think that he will be, he's one of the most consistent and devastating blockers at the position. He hasn't shown an ability to carry the ball at all though. Not that we've really given him a shot. A lot of the teams that use FB's in the NFL like for them to be able to catch/run with the ball as well at times.

Mr. Moore was my preseason MVP and loosing him last year proved his worth. Glad to have him back.
