Interesting stats. I wish I had hurried pass attempts, but I can't find that stat anywhere. Obviously, these are the three teams believed to be our toughest competition left on the schedule. On paper, the stats are comparatively very close. I certainly don't want our QB getting hit, but these stats show that we're not alone....

Oh, and I'm not saying our Oline is great by any stretch of the imagination, but as you can see, these teams have Oline issues, too.

Interesting stats. Bama & UF each have 1 more quality opponent than LSU, will be something to watch over the next few weeks as schedules ramp up.

The oline would look a lot better, if they weren't trying to protect so much on obvious passing downs.

We're not saying the entire OL sucks. On the contrary, Collins, Lonergan, and Williford are more than capable. Hurst is good at run blocking but average at best at pass protection. Josh D was on the ground at Auburn all night long. And he wasn't much better against the earlier creampuffs.

We could be better.

Interesting stats.

Please keep this updated as the competition gets better for all teams involved. LSU's stats don't look too bad, but we haven't exactly played any great defenses yet.

To be fair we've had a SILLY easy schedule so far.

I think it's a little bit on everybody so far this year. QB, WR's, and OLine have all had (what seems to me) more mental errors than (reasonably) expected, but we've been able to make plays when needed.

Aw, hell with it, post those stats! Bama got the benefit of the doubt with stat padding last year.

We also average more rush yards per game than all three.

LSU D-line vs. UF O-line = advantage Tigers. Don't think they can hold up all game. Will need to keep their QB in the pocket, he runs pretty well.

... static analysis is a bad idea.

Lets play a game, suppose LSU plays UF and Bama plays Kentucky.

If Bama has better stats are they really better?

These given stats are.biased by compitition.

Therefore the OPs assertion is not correct.

The assertion was that the Oline has played as god or better than our competition's Oline. How would you determine this is true or false?

Statistically, the defenses we have faced have been similar. Bama has played two of the worst defenses in the country in Arkansas and Florida Atlantic, so it's not as if we padded our stats any more than those mentioned in the OP.

The stats may be there.. but I still wouldn't want Josh D. blocking Mett's BLIND SIDE.

Yea, obviously these stats came before Faulk's injury, so the current Oline is TBD as far as effectiveness. He either has to step it up or be replaced.

He's had 5 years to step up.. this is his sixth. I believe his work is done.
