I honestly don't understand why our fans are melting so hard. It's not like this is something that hit us from the blind side (Michael Oher reference). Obviously there were wrong doings, and we're going to pay the price for it. Worst case scenario, in my opinion, is if the NCAA hits us with a two year bowl ban and allows our players to transfer immediately. If it happens then it happens, but I'm not going to bitch and moan about the allegations when we knew they were coming our way.

I appreciate it. I try to be a realist when it comes to my team, and everyone knew what was coming, so I don't know what the big shock is from our fan base.

Hate to say it (no I dont), but I think thats your best case scenario. Thats the least that will be handed down imo.

Yall fricked up. SMU only had 8 Level 1s. Yall have 15....

Not saying that we didn't mess up. It's just going to hurt a whole lot more if the NCAA allows our current players to transfer. There are still many unknowns from the NCAA of what will be handed down, so all we can do is wait it out.

I think a lot of the reaction is because CHF downplayed everything to such a degree, that he reality coming out seems way more painful.

I may be wrong but I believe it is normal procedur to let players transfer if a team is put on probation, and post season ban. Someone with more knowledge can correct me if wrong. Also, they don't have to set out a year.

I can agree with that, and many of the Ole Miss "sources" downplayed the issues a good bit as well. I'm just not as naive as everyone else I guess. I mean it sucks no doubt, but I knew something positive coming out of this was going to be very slim.

From what I understand, I think the transfer rule goes into effect if we would get a two year ban. But, I am like you and do not know enough to give a definite on either side.

Sure wish Bama would get the same treatment as everyone else, they will get burned sooner or later. If they think that they will not pay for all their cheating once satan leaves they are in for a rude awakening. There will be tons of stuff that comes out once that staff is turned over. I mean I'm not counting on it to happen but I wouldn't be surprised either, those fans just think they are invincible. It would be so damn hilarious to see them all crying an ocean of tears after all those ships are ripped away. All that for not lol, one can hope anyway.

Agree. Hate to see the disparagement to any players and university, it always gets cast as a negative against the entirety of the SEC because of our overall dominance in football. Suddenly we all cheat to win. It's a tough position for all, yet sometimes arrogance is not a very good substitute for humility.
