Some poor bastard that will have to deal with sanctions. I don’t expect much from the next coach

LSU basketball is going to be dealing with major NCAA penalties for a while.
Gonna be hard to get a decent coach while operating under severe sanctions

Just hire Cuonzo Martin and get ready to hire a big fish in 3 years. It ain’t happening this go round.

Brad Stevens feels like a Woodward hire. He’s n front office for Celtics

UNLESS the NCAA is willing to waive the penalties in exchange for the action that LSU just took.
------------------------------------------------
If such is true [no further cloud over the program] then pay Ed Cooley $6 million a year and be done with it.
In the latter circumstance, Tom Crean is now available and likely will take less than the $3.2 million Georgia was paying him; which is more than LSU was paying Will Wade.

Genuinely curious, can non-scholarship players receive NIL? Thst could be a way around sanctions.

Arizona Assistant coach Rem Bakamus is on the short list. Assistant Coach at Gonzaga, then Baylor, and now at Arizona. Would be a huge hire. Every school he has been at has been to the National Championship Game

Rhat doesn’t seem very Woodward like. He’s not gonna get someone with zero experience
Posted on 3/12/22 at 2:36 pm to SOCAL TIGER

We will be lucky to land a P5 assistant. We have 6 L1 violations pending and an AD who tossed his coach the first chance he got.
We will be a bottom feeder in the SEC for a very long time.
