ULL is 5,6,7,8,8 in the polls. RPI 34 (LSU: 52) with an 18-3 record with wins vs. some decent schools. And they've been playing even better of late as their hitting has come around.

They mean nothing in that they're useless to the results of games and post season participation/success, true. But he's pointing out a singular ranking as though it's a "joke" in comparison to others. Maybe that's not how he meant it.
