East 3rd Avenue at the Marriott Suites?

In that case uber everywhere, you won’t ever need a car other than going to the game and you can probably even hop in a party bus to get there. You’re staying literally 50 feet from where I live! Ya Old Town Gringos is gonna be real good when everyone is in town but Boondocks is the best. Unless you want clubs but you’ll find all of those just stumbling around the neighborhood.

Awesome. Much appreciated. So if me and the Mrs. get into an argument about something I did wrong...can I crash at your place?

hey, if you're gonna be racist, then at least get it right - it's in Arizona; they call 'those' neighborhoods "barrios" over there

Best bet is a hotel in downtown Tempe. Most have airport shuttle. Tempe is party central all the time but NYEve is bomb!

You realize they no longer do the block party there for NYE?

Tempe for NYE is only fun if you are younger than 30. Otherwise you are gonna feel old quick.

ETA:Just read they have also canceled fireworks this year in Tempe for NYE cause it’s too dry on A mountain.

We're staying at the Biltmore. Any cool bars in the area?

So, Tempe shuts down for NYEve? It's still party central - even for old farts like you.

Who cares? It's not the 4th of July.

Tempe is convenient for out of towners coming in.
Thanks for your input, Buzzkill!

Fireworks are still big on NYE, even bigger than 4th of July considering the entire world celebrates NYE

What's everyone doing for NYE in Scottsdale? Just bar hopping?

Not sure. Just know that when it comes to nightlife....Scottsdale is always always better than Tempe. Especially if you are 30 and older. Mill Ave in Tempe is aimed at the younger college crowd. It’s ok....but kinda lame compared to Old Town. The more dirty looking college crowd hangs out there.

Even most of the college kids at ASU come to Scottsdale to go out.

480 can tell you more what to do in Scottsdale on NYE

Tempe is ok but Old Town Scottsdale is a much better option.

Taking an Uber from the house to the stadium....sec 101 row 12 seats 1-3....Can’t wait to tailgate with my Louisiana brothers and sisters before the game.... haven’t been back home in a decade so it will be good to get a taste of the food and the camaraderie .
