I work in an office full of non-SEC people. There is one LSU grad here apart from myself. Everyone gets in a few harmless trash talk comments and everything leading up to the games this weekend. They all know that I am an LSU fan. Normally when we lose people will really lay it on thick and let me have it, all in good fun, but they do like to see SEC people in misery (specifically these are mostly Big 12 folks).

Today the reaction was much different. It wasn't even fun. Instead of the jabbing, it was like they felt sorry for the LSU fans. It was more of "Man, what happened to y'all?" instead of the regular smack talk, like talking trash to the LSU fans was like making fun of a crippled person or something. Not even worth it because of how far our offense has receded.

I get that teams get in a rut, but what really sucks is being in a rut and facing the reality that it is not going to fricking change anytime soon. I don't really feel motivated to even lie and say that we are turning things around, because we all know that is false.

My boss is the uncle of a starting offensive player. I asked him about the game and he simply rolled his eyes and said "no comment"

I even had an Ole Miss fan ask what the hell was wrong with Miles. They lost just last night. That's how bad it is. Time for Miles to go.

I was going back and forth with a wisky fan before the game.

After the game......... Nothing.

I just emailed and said, "Thanks for the DC, can we borrow a QB, OC and HC now"?

Yep. Office full of aggie and horns. Horns fans just say "Yep saw this all before with Mack, it's brutal and hopeless to watch." Aggie is scared shitless we will hire Herman.

I'm surrounded by Longhorns and TCU fans for the most part, luckily there's some SMU fans in here so I don't have it the worst out of the group

I've noticed the same attitude from non LSU fans.

They aren't even talking trash any more. They all say we need a new coach.

These are the dark days - like half of the 1990s were. 7 and 5 and an Indy Bowl invite was celebrated.

We've been spoiled . we are now an 8-4 or 7-5 team and have been for 2 or 3 years.

We need a 40 yr old hot shot coach like Kliff Kingsbury or Tom Herman. Les needs the retirement talk
