Offense ?

Why doesn't miles put 3 or 4 receivers in every play , so that defense has to put a man on them? If he wants to run the ball so bad looks to me that it would be easier to do that with the defense spread out instead of 8 or 9 sometimes more playing the run . I yell at the tv all the time - the front line didn't block anybody- but half the time the defense is bringing 2 or 3 more than they can block . Lf7 is going to get hurt if he don't change this .

miles loves the 2 TE set with 1 wide receiver.

Common sense would have told Miles ok Wisconsin's LBs are getting penetration so why don't we spread them out and see how good their corners are. All that talent at WR and he doesn't think we would be better matched up against Wisconsin's 3rd and 4th string corners!?

I said the same thing in a previous post. Spread the defense out and make them cover the entire field. Its going to be man coverage, we have elite receivers. Give them a chance to be elite and take more shots down the field. Run some wheel routes and drag routes into spaces left open by defenders chasing receivers in man. Throw more bubble screens and middle screens. Hit the TE in the space the LB's leave open trying to stuff the run. Run more zone read qb keepers to force the DE to read and react instead of attack. Run play action off that. So many things to force a defense out of stacking the box. We just refuse to do them until the defense knows we have to do them.
