Demote Orgeron to D line coach. Make Jenkins an analyst. Bring Miles back as head coach. If either refuses the job that means they quit and you do not have to pay them. Hire a new coach next year.

Put $12 million on Florida this weekend.

creative; not bad. As I posted, and got completely slammed (not sure why) he can be fired for CAUSE if he is not LEADING the team professionally and competitively-- he proves he is NOT, more, every day. What a joke.

I appreciate this creativity. Please apply for AD in the future

So we should pay a D-line coach $3.5M a year for the next 5 years, on top of having to pay Les Miles $6-7M a year?

That's not a bad idea. Get 50,000 Tiger fans to put a hundy on Florida to win. Take everyone's original hundy + the winnings and you'll have about $10MM.

My point is that we are already paying both of them anyway. Put Miles back to work. If he refuses then we are off the hook for the rest of his contract. Same as Orgeron. If it doesn't work out then we are in the same place that we are now.

His contract is a guarantee of income, not a guarantee of job duties.

that scenario would put LSU in breach of contract. Contract has specific performance language in it.

I floated this last Sunday. If Les refuses, his buyout terminates. In my scenario, coach Zero has to go. He is poison the team if left on the staff. His buyout is sunk money. Les can be smoked out of his "pay not to work" money.

Will LSU also guarantee the income from endorsements, etc. that are only available to him because he holds the title of head coach?

Obviously I am saying all of this tongue in cheek. But in this scenario I am betting that one or both would refuse this and we would not have to pay remaining contract obligation allowing us to have more cash to hire a new coach.

Unfortunately they have job specific contracts

So we can't reassign them to another position during the term of the contract?
