He showed maturity right there having confidence that he could make the play. His play and then Wing's punt were responsible for pinning Auburn back deep!

As a punt returner you are taught to not let a ball like that bounce.

I want to give the guy the benefit of the doubt on his decision making and think he knew what he was doing. One thing he's done all year is little things that shows he's smart. I remember early on, I think it was Oregon, LSU was in a 2 minute drill and he caught the ball ran right past the 1st down marker and went straight out of bounds. Didn't try to cut it up the field, didn't try to fight for 3 useless yards. I remember thinking "that's a true freshman!" Then he did it again against AU. It wasn't for a first down but knowing he wouldn't have gotten one he wisely went straight out of bounds to preserve time. There is no doubt he has amazing ability, what will make him one of the best WR's to go through LSU is the fact that he's smart and knows what to do.

Can anyone find a video of the catch?

In that situation, no. The catch was a higher risk.

Go watch the replay again and notice Miles' reaction after Odell caught that ball. Miles literally ran on the field to high-five him and was clapping. Miles apparently thought it was a good play. Heady play for a true freshman.

A very impressive play! Caught it with his hands!Wow! Most would have trapped that, but this kid has confidence, and some good coaching.

Was about to post the same thing. I'm thinking he will do it again, and I hope he does. He caught that ball with his HANDS, and there was never any doubt (at least it looked that way in the replay). Didn't bobble it at all. I was shaking my head left to right until I saw the replay, then I started shaking it up and down instead.

I think he pulled up a little lame on that play because after that happened he ran off to the locker room with a trainer. I do agree he is a smart player though.
