Is this a joke? That was blatant targeting of an opponent which should have at least resulted in a 1 game suspension. I lost a lot of respect for ObJ after that hit and many others are right to view him as a POS.

But we're good with Norman and the Panthers, right?

I mean hey, rubbing is racing right... So face tackling and body slamming, baseball bats, that's just football.

Norman didn't have the bat and was fined a pretty good amount for his actions, but he didn't purposely target a player in the head, which is a big time issue in the NFL at the moment, especially with the 'Concussion' film about to drop.

IMO the NFL's hands were tied. Had he not done the targeting then he is fined and that's it, at least he showed maturity and apologized like a man.

If OBJ was from Alabama, he'd be getting killed on this board. Both Norman and OBJ should have been ejected. But Norman wasn't the one who tried to spear a guy with a head-to-head hit. OBJ should have been suspended. That said, props to him for apologizing. Norman should do the same.

OK. So how do you view cops that target people because of their race? If this kid is a POS now for doing what he did, and you don't know him like that, you must hate/despise most cops, and that just for starters.

You have clearly over reacted.

Not even close to the same... When was the last time ObJ put his life on the line to save a random stranger from an armed robbery? That has to be the stupidest comparison I have ever heard of.

Your critique is way off base, and your avoidance and dismissal of the comparison is telling. The kid made a mistake in judgement and apologized, but you think he's a POS. That's a low threshold for such a harsh judgement.

The cop targets someone not because of a crime, but because of their race and you proffer excuses for something that at best, is a humiliating, life altering experience and at worse, results in death. There is something very inconsistent about your reasoning and inability to empathize with a simple football transgression.

Sorry. This is just plain stupid.

OBJ looked like a complete fool on the football field last Sunday. Since the preseason, he has shown that he lets his opponent get in his head. He whined then and served notice to the rest of the league that you can get to him. By not turning the other cheek, he will se more of the same antics.

Oh man. OBJ turns into justification of the racially charged police violence. This board is too much fun.

This thread should be put on the Fox News rhetoric board. I mean the Politics board.

How can you refer to a 22-23 year old as a kid. At what point is this person not a kid anymore. The eyes of the law has seen him as a man since he was 18. He is no longer in college and what this MAN did was as close to assault on another individual as you can get on the football field.
