mid 80s is common in highschool.. why couldn't a freak athlete throw it mid 80-90?

Going out a limb here and I'm assuming they are using what he threw and converting it to baseball speed.

Ex baseball player? Didn't play in High school.

Also I think we've all seen freak athletes that have looked like dumbasses throwing a baseball. It's not the athletic ability that would be a surprise to see an athlete from another sport throw hard. It's the motor coordination and mechanics that would be a surprise.

I'd say about 60 mph, which is pretty good with a softball. Decent arm action...short motion for a pitcher...more like a catcher motion. Obviously, he's a great athlete.
