OBJ antics... Just a question for those who are melting

Is it possible that the Giants organization, in an effort to make more money for all involved, might encourage some of his behavior?
It's been done before. Stone Cold Steve Austin made the mold for this type of salute the veterans and blue collar but frick the man character and they made millions off of it.
So before we go purging his name from LSU records we might want to consider that maybe he is just playing the character that his team wants him to play.

My opinion is it's competitive nature, the guy wants to win period. Big deal he punched a hole in the wall, he wants to win.

I don't understand how the guy being bat shite crazy has anything to do with LSU football. He's a stud football player. His personal issues now have nothing to do with how he should be perceived as a football player at LSU.

highly doubtful...i don't see what he has done that is so bad. If he was a no name player we wouldn't even know about any of it.

I seriously doubt that they tell him to drop catchable balls.
The antics are one thing, the poor play another.
OBJ is too good to be missing footballs like this. All of this notoriety has gotten into his head, and he isn't dealing with it too well.
It's part of the process, he'll either figure it out in his head, or become another unpredictable player. I'm pulling for him, but he doesn't need the antics. He has the tools to be great.

Hence, the lack of concentration and the dropsies...no one actually thinks he just doesn't care, I hope.
But he's young, rich, and good looking. Sorry for partying, my arse. He could've pulled a Jamarcus on the Giants from day one.

He just needs to grow up some. I sure he will.

I hope he doesn't go the Dennis Rodman route. He is to talented

The Giants are owned by two families who represent the "old guard" in NFL ownership (like the Rooney's in Pittsburgh). I doubt they would encourage one of their players to act like a WWF persona.
The bottom line is that Beckham is a great player who got mega-famous in the largest TV market very fast. "The catch" transcended him into a superstar, and he hasn't handled mega fame very well. Beckham brings a lot of attention to himself. When you do that, some of the attention is going to be negative and the spotlight is always on you. Beckham doesn't handle criticism and negative attention well. Right or wrong, the more you show you can't handle negative attention, the more people will pile on. Opposing players know it and the media knows it.

If this were the Jets, maybe.

He wasn't like this at LSU. So LSU has nothing to do with his behavioral issues.

Does this also apply to his crucial drops/fumbles while at LSU?

I don't think punching a wall is a big deal. That type of stuff happens all the time and it's not reported.
He does seem to have lost his way for some reason. Maybe he's not cut out for the bright lights of NYC. We never heard a peep out of him at LSU and now he's this emotional wreck.

I don't know where the word game came in on that post above....anyway, there's just no way that they possibly want Odell to be a baby and get personal fouls against Carolina last year or propose to a net on the sidelines .. .the net thing was extremely strange and lasted way too long .i don't think there's a single person besides those reporter's that suck up and kiss his butt ,that thought that was funny, and didnt think it was really strange
