NOLA

quote:

"Here's the deal, nobody has earned the starting spot," Orgeron said. "You can see tonight. If we had to name a starter tonight, there's not a clear-cut winner. Most of the spring, Danny has been there. Nobody has taken him over. But tonight, underneath the pressure, the guys didn't perform the way we wanted to. They'll have to show me who can perform under pressure and be the LSU quarterback."

quote:

"He didn't play good, that's the bottom line," Orgeron said of Etling. "He didn't have a good night. Now he's had some good days, but today wasn't one of his better days. I don't know if any of the quarterbacks played the way we want them to play. That's why we're going to keep it open. That's why we wanted these guys underneath the fire, to compete. He'll tell you too, it wasn't his best night."

Orgeron talked about Narcisse, an early enrollee, standing out but also mentioned how Narcisse should be attending his Senior Prom and not playing in LSU's spring game.

"He's an excellent talent," Orgeron said. "I think the learning of the offense, the timing of the receivers, he definitely has one of the strongest arms we have and is probably one of the better athletes."

Another reason the quarterback competition remains open is because there's one more entrant yet to set foot on the practice field. Signee Myles Brennan is still at St. Stanislaus in Mississippi and won't join the Tigers until June.

So much more refreshing than miles constant bullshite. Miles would have pined about the quality passes and the want to win displayed by the quarterbacks.

We had a real want to complete passes. So we will refocus and continue with the want to complete those passes and tighten a few things up.

Jesus Christ O. It was one half practice. They've only had 14 days to learn. Didn't you see the tempo? Dave Aranda's defense is too good. Coach needs to stop being so negative.

So you're saying there's a chance. Finally not anointing someone but maybe giving the other guys more chances to prove themselves with the firs team will help.

Kind of hard "beat him out" for the position when you only get 6 or less real reps or you have to play behind the second team oline.

I know you "think" you're being facetious here, but it's more punk arse little bitch than anything.
