Routes aren't as predictable. Makes it easier on QB and receivers.

Etling checked down to a wide open TE in the middle. That keeps everyone on the defense honest.

I've noticed this I don't know if it's etling not locking on one guy or play calling but it's nice to see an easy completion regularly now

That chark TD was awesome. Watching at home, you could hear the crowd before the pass and before Chark was shown on the screen wide open. (Probably due more to ole miss confusion than what you're referring to but cool nonetheless).

and also notice the lanes that the rb's have now as well. Who would have thought of this. A passing game that opens a running game and vice versa. Oh right our previous coach!

You could see it right off the line. It was awesome

I said this since Miles left.

I also believe Harris would thrive in this offense or one more wide open, but many will disagree and that's fine.. I understand not believing that.. but he absolutely can.

Any ways, Miles and Cameron did our QBs no favors.

We now have WR routes that are QB friendly.. and not low percentage throws to the same 2 receivers.

I don't know if it's the routes so much as it is Etling keeping his eyes down the field and finding the open targets that were there before Coaching change.

There was one play last night where we had a 2-man route and both guys were within 3 or 4 yards of each other about 20 yards down-field, and I had to have a good little laugh to myself remembering when that would have been pretty common and unsurprising.

I've noticed they have caught the ball a lot better these last few games.

ETA- If WR's would have caught the ball vs Wisconsin and Auburn like the have of late, Miles would still be coach and LSU would be undefeated

Read a preseason article and the this coach said all LSU has to do is play action and receivers will be wide open.

Such a simple thing but never exploited by the previous regime.

Ignorant statement. And to think we are a couple drops away from being undefeated is laughable. Miles would've lost to Ole miss no question.

You still have to make presnap reads and be accurate with the ball. BH bad at both. I thought he may get his chance when DE got crushed

I agree with this, but Etling climbs the pocket better baw. But other than that I know Harris would be on fire with this offense now

I also noticed since we opened up the passing game, when Fournette or Guice carry the ball, there are holes to run through. When one of those guys get past the LOS, the dbs are spread so there is a good chance they will take it to the end zone.
Wonder why Miles couldn't figure that out?
Are we missing him yet?
