I keep reading this talent level and skill level crap on your website. May I introduce you to a typical recruiting site like scout.com? You've failed to break the top 15 in recruiting classes 2 of the last 3 years.

Also, this LSU hasn't played anyone thing you have going on... LSU's played the hardest schedule of all undefeated teams thus far. Even the espn analysts that hate lsu concede this point. Even that rinky dink North Carolina team that we barely beat handled the Clemson tigers with much more ease than you. I really don't want to get into comparing Miss State game differences in score.... but seriously talk some sense into people on your board please. I expect there to be overwhelming fan bias, but to say your defensive line is better than ours, or that we only beat you in Defensive backs... when all three of our WR's were 5 star recruits, and unlike you we have 5 star running backs from every recruiting class that we can remember. Christ, we bench 5 star running backs we are so deep with them... a little research is all im asking for.

Asking an Auburn fan to read and do research is like asking ESPN to be accurate and unbiased.

Who are our 5 star RB's?

Ware and Ford on Scout. That's all I remember.

But, other than that, your post is sound. Except for wanting Auburn fans to be reasonable. They're excited. Let them have their fun. Saturday will be here soon enough.

Keiland Williams was a 5 star obviously... for some reason I was thinking Murphy was too... but either way... I think its safe to say that LSU hasn't gone a single season without atleast 1 5 star running back on the depth chart for atleast 5 years? Im sure either Addai or Broussard was a 5 star as well.

And to beat Arkansas you needed refs to blow not one but two huge calls that gave you 14 points and lead to the int for another td. What about Florida who was ranked 14th when we won? And again you almost lost to Kentucky

Nope. Neither were.

Keiland Williams and Spencer Ware are the only 5 star RBs we've had this decade, I believe.

Lots of 4 star RBs, though. We could have had Christine Michael, a 5 star RB for Texas A&M, but we passed on him to take Michael Ford, a guy that doesn't see the ball much, in this, his RSFR year. Michael starts for A&M, by the way.

Ok and our unranked opponents are:
* UNC [just beat Clemson with ease]
* Florida [who will certainly be ranked before the seasons over again, especially if they get to play Auburn]
* Tennessee [whos played a harder schedule than any team in the SEC at this point]

You can't come close to matching that as you've already played two teams of McNeese States Caliber or less.

Let me sum this up for you, without the preseason hype and consistent response to it shown on the coaches and now harris polls, your team doesn't belong in the top 10. Your team won't finish in the top 20. After bowl season atleast.

Look at those three sig wins you sited. Now imagine yourself in five weeks trying to site those as big wins. They got hyped, and they got beat. I thank you for being so hyped though. We should jump some serious spots in the coaches poll after we beat you and we probably won't even deserve it in the long run if we end up losing to Bama and Arkansas. (Yes i think Arkansas is still better than AU, as without some serious refs + homefield advantage + injuries, your team loses by 21 or more)

Thanks. I thought Richard Murphy was a 4 star.

Rivals says 4 star: LINK

I usually go by Rivals.

Russell Shepard was a 5 star QB, not a RB.

Kentucky probably isn't a good argument for your side.

You almost lost to TN and almost lost to Florida. Oh wait - that's different, right?

As for Arkansas, we won by 22.

The point is, your fans try to say we haven't played anyone, however, the average strength of everyteam we've played far supercedes the average strength of the teams you've played thus far this year. That is the point. The only thing your fans really have to be excited about right now at this point are three things:

1. Media Hype (they love teams with 1 standout player, its an easier story)

2. Homefield Advantage (and all the implicits that come along with it ex: last week)

3. You've made it this high in the rankings. Pretty impressive. You picked up a one year wonder boy who'll gladly ditch that team for the NFL as soon as this year is over. He's gotten your school some attention... maybe you'll start pulling recruits over alabama and developing into a real program again. At least at the end of the year, you can look back and say how amazing it was to be in the national spotlight. For about a week.

I love cocky Auburn fans. The fact of the matter is that AU is a one trick pony with Cam Newton and a god awful defense. Ask WVU what happens when a one trick pony meets the LSU Tiger defense. I haven't noticed Devine talking a whole lot of shite about our football team since the defense shut him the frick up. Have you?
