nah man must have missed it... where was it? by the booth that has USC's 2003 national championship trophy?

I think there is a formula determined by the pounds garbage collected and the amount of waste removed from the porta-potties. Of course unfortunately not everyone was using the porta-potties, so it was more like 225K.

I'd imaging traffic flow is also used in the formula.

I THINK I read in the paper Sunday morning that it was from feedback from local law enforcement around campus.

The sheet for the next game is out...But don't sign it until game marshalls instruct you to!

How do they calculate attendance at free concerts when there is no ticketing or turnstyle?
How do they calculate attendance at parades?
How did they calculate the 1 million man march?

Have police do a rough estimate on different sections of campus, add em up and boom.

they took an overhead picture from that helicopter that was flying around and counted all the dots.

That's what I've heard too, they took aerial views all day long and that was the estimate they came up with.
ETA: Didn't see the counting little dots part.

Probably the same way they do Mardi Gras, which is based on the amount of trash.

Next game, I'll just drive through and dump my garbage to make our fan base look more devoted.

They counted the Beer cans, and divided that by 25.

It is really quite simple. The jets that flew over took a picture. When the picture was developed they counted the legs and divided by 2. That is why they came up with 180,000 1/2. There was a one legged man at the game.
