- CJJ inherited Hilliard and Coleman. That's 2 by my count.

Hilliard as been a mediocre sunday/good midweek pitcher for 5 years. He's only been moved to rotation in seasons when we have injuries/have guys fall out of the rotation

Coleman pitched like 5 innings and then got hurt. He started 2 games last year, neither of them were SEC games. He pitched in 5 total SEC games out of 30, going 13 total innings and giving up 9 earned runs. Does that look like an SEC starter to you?

- We started 1-8 vs State, UTenn, and Vandy. All great teams. We finished 12-9 in SEC games.
- This team will have to take 2 of 3 from Vandy to match. It's doable.

We surpassed last years conference win total a week ago.

- Can you name one player back from '21 who is a better baseball player now? Crews has been steady on. Thompson is hitting better. About it.

Crews can't get better. Morgan has been hurt the entire season. Dugas has been hurt the entire season. Bianco has been hurt the entire season. Milazzo has been hurt for most of the season. Thompson has gotten worse defensively, but he also didn't play a full season at short stop last year. He was also hurt during the spring. Doughty is about where he was last year, and that's with the worst 3 weeks of his LSU career the last 3 weeks.

Nine SEC series in and we don't have a 2nd or 3rd starter. At what point does CJJ assume responsibility. He was allowed to recruit and work the portal wasn't he?

I'm going to assume you don't know how baseball recruiting works. He was hired in june. Not only is that past signing day, but baseball recruiting begins 4-5 years out. He beefed up the bullpen - probably the best it's been in years. I would like for you to tell me which starting pitchers Jay missed on that were availible in June.

He doesn't assume responsibilty for the lack of starting pitching that he inherited. That's just stupid. He's won multiple series' this year with his bullpen decisions.

We finished 12-18 in SEC play in 2021!

I normally just disregard incorrect stats, but that exclamation point at the end . . . not gonna let that pass.
