8pm-11pm isn't prime time.
6pm and 7pm is primetime, and that's when LSU will be playing (granted it starts at 5)

5 p.m. isn't really prime time.
It's kind of an inbetweener time.
Some of the 2nd round games (usually start around 2:30 or so I think) might still be going on. And even for those who finish they'll do the highlights/talking head stuff.
And the game will likely still be going on when the 7:00 game comes on.
So, while it's not a bad spot and I like it, it's not THE prime time spot.

LSU/Auburn isn't the prime time game, it's more like the salad and bread sticks before the main dish.
You watch a couple hours of that game until the real game comes on. UGA/Ole Miss isn't the main course, (that's TAMU/Arky), but it is by far the most interesting matchup for me. That game will be really fun.

"prime time The time between 8 and 11 pm or between 7 and 10 pm, depending on the time zone, in the United States and Canada, especially with respect to programming on television and cable networks. On Sunday, prime time begins an hour earlier."
So LSU gets 1 hour of PT and aTm/Arky gets 2 hours of PT.
Your turn.

You haven't heard? It's the Bike Coaching Shorts Hot Seat Bowl.
The losing coach is sure to get fired and the winning coach lives for another week.

Add Gus to miles "tap out" list. His teams out built to kill the morale of opponents. How fun would it be to see Lsu dominate like last year and send Gus to crazy land

Odd time slot indeed. It will be dark like, 2 minutes into the 4th qtr.

People are out of their damn minds if they think LSU will fire Les immediately after a loss to Auburn. It sure as shite won't help his cause at the end of the year. But he's not getting fired mid-season unless we lose the next 4, or something like that.

The 8pm is their prime game

5p.m. is not primetime. The 8pm game would be classified as espns primetime game.
