I think the Miles supporters have turned into Coach O supporters. I think they just like who ever we have at the time and are afraid of change.

They are, look at OP's post history.

Coach O failed at Ole Miss - not sure I can name one failed x-coach in the SEC to be hired as a new Head coach at a SEC team

Save a lot of time, energy and money. Make the interim coach the permanent head coach. You will not find a coach that will work harder and he will win a lot of games. He will also do an outstanding job when it comes to recruiting.

Dude, it's been 2 days. Don't mix your excited feeling of Miles being gone with your anticipation of Coach O.

I'm not sure we do. Josh McDaniels, Romeo Crennel, Charlie Weiss, Derek Dooley, Will Muschamp, Jim McElwain, Mike Bobo, Bobby Williams, Lane Kiffin, Norv Turner, Chan Gailey, and the list goes on and on prove otherwise.

I think it is like QB there is so many variables to success but we all come back to the QB spot

I get what you are saying, and there are a few difference makers at Head Coach. Saban and Urban for example.

I could be wrong, but I think coaching dollar is better spent at staff level

I wish i could give you infinite downvotes.

What is with you jackasses and wanting O? He was a terrible HC at Ole Miss and a mediocre interim at USCw. The only thing he really has going for him is that he's really good at getting players to play hard and with emotion. Other than that, he's a slightly above average HC. If we want to compete, we need a top tier coach.

LOL

the smart people hired Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian

at USC how did that out ??

Coach O is qualified to be a Head coach and it is not his first gig - what most folk that I seeing post are just saying what if ???? what if we win on Saturday night and play our best game of the season. What if we beat the Gators in the swamp - are you that stupid that you can't read the tea leaves. Louisiana after all has gone on is going to go Coach O crazy.

I think this is the single biggest game to judge Coach O
How will this team play with the new staff new OC and new fire ????

Saturday
Oct. 1 Tigers Missouri Tigers (HC)
Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge, LA 6:30pm CT

I will not break down all of the rest of games because if Mizzu beats Lsu the season of hope is over and all the talk will be about the new coach. If we beat Mizzu in style a little Coach O talk will increase

If we go to the Gators and beat them in the swamp - much talk

Saturday
Oct. 8 Gators at Florida Gators
Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Gainesville, FL 11:00am CT

Oct. 15 Golden Eagles Southern Miss Golden Eagles
Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge, LA Time TBA

Saturday
Oct. 22 Rebels Ole Miss Rebels
Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge, LA Time TBA

Saturday
Oct. 29 OFF

Saturday
Nov. 5 Crimson Tide Alabama Crimson Tide
Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge, LA Time TBA

Saturday
Nov. 12 Razorbacks at Arkansas Razorbacks
D.W.R. Razorback Stadium, Fayetteville, AR Time TBA

Saturday
Nov. 19 Jaguars South Alabama Jaguars
Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge, LA Time TBA

Thursday
Nov. 24 Aggies at Texas A&M Aggies

Sarkisian was never considered an elite coach.

Herman and/or Fisher, however, are considered to be among the best in college football.

I think you give Herman the talent and recruiting base at LSU and he moves in the Meyer/Saban realm of coaches.

Yeah Coach O is a wait and see

but for everyone wanting a proven commodity that is why we didn't hire Jimbo Fisher.

Also if you were going on the proven commodity record Les Miles is one of the top coaches available.

People that want Coach O as a permanent HC are the same ones who have this low self esteem issue and think LSU is not a top 10 job anymore. Just stop. Experts on this subject that are former coaches and personally know current coaches are repeatedly calling this a top 10 job currently. We can get who we want. Coach O is not a top 10 coach. He will get mauled in the SEC with the current coaches around the league.

I like it and you stated my case - you gave no what if room at all

So the Gators / Ole Miss / Bama / Arky / aTm will maul a Coach O coached team - we shall see

We like Coach O get a free run - playing on house money

We have seen this team play for 4 games and on Saturday night we get to see the same team play for Coach O under his style of football. It of course will not give Coach O the 1 year of recruiting his guys / spring football and pre-season but this is Coach O's last chance and I am 100% sure he will give it his all

As for your condensing tude against those pulling for Coach O - you can kiss my purple arse !!!

I think you mostly have people open or not open to the idea.

LSU is a top 10 job for sure. if you could get any coach you wanted it would probably be Saban, Urban, and Fisher in that order. Those probably aren't going to happen.

I like Herman, but every one wins at Houston. It is just one of those jobs everybody respects your ability to win there even though everybody can.

ever hear of the term "due diligence"?

if our adm. does not do this, they should be fired immediately.

Yep. Don't even look. Put no effort into finding a coach. Brilliant idea. They should hire OP as AD.

agree with above

we all want a great hire

since I am a Tiger since my first game in 1961 I don't need anyone to tell me I can't cheer for CEO and see what plays out

I agree with many that Coach O is a version of CLM but in no way does that mean he is as hard headed as CLM. He fired Cam for a reason and I am sure he thinks that Coach Ensminger is on page with what he wants to do.

It is a what if that is not going away until what we see on the field makes it go away
