Ban me if this ends up jinxing us, but I find it a good sign that several players at Major programs have announced and none of ours have.

As far as I can recall, this is the first year in a while we have no obvious early entries. To have a somewhat veteran time for once would be kind of amazing.

Which makes good sense. I know KB52 may want to see what's going on. As well as CL91.

I can understand Beckwith, but LaCouture? I just never thought he would even be thinking of leaving this year, nor Neal.

Neal had an all American type 1st half of year production (30 TKLs, 7.0 sck, 7.5 TFL, 6 QB hurries, FF, 2 PBUs) , but then fell off the map the 2nd half (18 TKLs, 1.0 sck, 2.0 TFL, 2 QB hurries, 4 PBUs).

Neal is very undersized with one year of production and LaCouture is not an elite athlete nor is he a force as a hole plugger (he's alright though). Maybe it's just curiosity from both of these guys.

Beckwith and Hawkins.

Ethan and Tre love the school and want to finish here on a high note.

Travin told me tonight, because of the Hammy he is staying 100%

He sprained his ankle in the Alabama game and played on it the rest of the year.

I still wonder how in the world Lacouture olays in from of guys like Herron. CL91 is the most average player on our defense. So if he declares, bad mover for him, as he will be a potentially undrafted player. The guy has made like 2 plays in 3 years. Meanwhile, Herron gets off of the ball so quickly, half of the time you'd bet money that he was offsides.
Hopefully Aranda sees this himself as he studies his players. I really just don't get this CL91 love. The dude is average, at best. Yet he is defended by ranters as if he is the main strength of our D-Line.

He does a good job of plugging up holes and taking on blockers freeing up our LBers. A crappy job that goes unnoticed by the average fan. He is not a great but he is very good

depth played a huge role in that. he did not have much of an impact any games. he needs to stay in school and develop more lower body strength. he can not beat a double team to save his life right now and has a hard time getting off blocks. bottom line, he needs another year. I think right now he goes undrafted

I can second that Neal has had a nagging injury since the Western Kentucky game. He's undecided right now because he is unsure of how he would fit in a 3-4 defense. But coach O has been talking to him about it so we'll see what he does. Most of his family is pressuring him into staying but like I said before, we'll have to wait and see.

91 has started since he was a freshman.
Let that sink in.

Perfect example of how things have changed in the last generation or so. Young elite athletes today have been assuming they'll be pros since they were in the 8th grade, so by the time they get to college, they literally feel as if they're journey to the NFL has taken a lifetime. Not long ago, with some rare exceptions, really outstanding athletes with pro potential looked at maximizing the college experience BECAUSE it prepares them for the next level. Early-entry rules and rookie wage-scale changes have had a tremendous impact here too, obviously.

Having said that, if a team with our talent could roll onto the field next year with experience and leadership in every position group at the same time, with guys fully at the top of their potential at this level, that could be a pretty important factor in how the season goes.

Under multiple coaches as well. He is obviously a solid player.

If he stays and plays in this scheme, he would frick people up next year and be a 1st round pick in 2017.

People say Tre wants to come back but with him being projected to get drafted high I don't see him returning. I don't like it but I think you are right about beckwith too.

As for Lacouture it wouldn't hurt us that much if he left. I think he returns but if he doesn't Herron or rashard Lawrence would fill his role nicely.

This is on the coaches just as much as it is on the players. Telling a kid "if you come here all you will need is 3 years then you will be a first round pick" doesn't humble them.
