LSU traveling all the way to Ruston to take on La Tech.

Please happen. The things I would do for LSU to beat Tech in Ruston. It'd crush my friends' souls. Doesn't matter tech will turn down the bid anyways in hopes of the ncaa's

At least tech would have a full house.

hopefully we get a good time and location. obviously little to no chance we host, but hoping for a better draw than at oregon on tuesday like last time...that is if we get in this year.

It's today at 7:30 CT on ESPNU, for those who don't know, or will come in here later asking.

I hope it happens. Right now I'd put out chances at 50/50. Wouldn't surprise me either way.

I think we fall just short of getting in. But will be semi excited if we do

I was pretty apathetic about it and still think the chances of us getting in are probably below 50%.
But that matchup would maybe get me a little more engaged.
I can remember losing back-to-back NIT appearances at home to Tulane and Tech back in the early 80's but I think playing Tech in front of an energized crowd might get our players a bit more into it rather than playing to a less than half-filled dozing crowd at the PMAC.
Our road track record this year not-withstanding, a lot of those losses were in arenas as dead as our own. Maybe an arena with some life in it will energize our kids...something that has been a year long issue.

Yes. The same "they" talk shite to no end about men's hoops.
Oh and I'm down for some NIT biddage

i just wonder how the astute NIT selection committee would feel about taking 5 sec teams.
arkansas, missouri and georgia are locks, that leaves lsu and ole miss. then you factor in all the regular season champs who lost in their conference tourneys and the spots start to dry up.
