spot on

a good coach that has gotten the breaks in coaching, for sure...and for his part has built upon that. There are a LOT of very good coaches that just never get that opportunity to shine, so to speak....Nick has been fortunate....I think Les understands this as he has been fortunate as well, and Les embraces it for the good fortune that has come his way....Nick's ego seems to reflect that he believes that it is all nick and none of the good fortune.....that's the major difference between the two....here's hoping that the good guy can hand it to bama next weekend, in a big way. Would love to see saban implode on the sidelines.

when has Bama been slapped hard for anything?

Bama is a great football school and Nick has done great things at that great football school.

I wondered at the Bama "breaks" that more times than not went their way. After the SEC decided a couple yrs ago that the only way to have their "bridge schedule" work was to remove a very good Ga. team from the Bama schedule, add a very bad Kent. team to it, take that very bad Kent. off our schedule, and add that very good Ga. team to our schedule I wondered no more bout the Bama good breaks.

Damnstrong1860...well said Sir...you eloquently summarized my feelings. We owe gratitude to both Miles and Saban.

SABAN DID IT WITH DINARDO'S PLAYERS

exactly. dinardo started a good run until mack browns fat arse took carl reese with him to texas, then dinardo wouldnt fire tepper after it was obvious he was in over his head as dc at lsu.

that said, dinardo had great recruiting classes. all the talk about saban bringing another level of talent to br is false. dinardo had great recruiting classes. hell, even hallman had a couple of top 5s.

the cupboard wasnt bare when saban got here, else he wouldnt have won the sec in his second year.

Matt Mauck was about the top OOS guy that there is no way we get without Nicky being the HC.

The "big 3" of the 2001 class, Marquise Hill (New Orleans), Marcus Spears (BR) and Michael Clayton (BR) would have been easy gets for any competent coach at LSU. Getting Joe Addai out of Houston and Ben Wilkerson out of Tyler were good OOS pulls, but Texas has long been tilled by LSU.

Even the phenomenal 2004 class - with 5 All Americans - Glenn Dorsey, Ali Highsmith, Herman Johnson, Craig Steltz and Claude Wroten - 4/5 of those were Louisiana prospects.

He's done far more pilfering at Bama, with their unlimited recruiting budget, than he ever did at LSU - although I do not question that he is one of the top recruiters in CFB history - just not a magical one.

Gerry Dinardo started the process of upgrading LSU facilities. East upper with suites, redo weight room, players meeting room. LSU joined the SEC spending war prior to Saban. Saban just reminded us how stupid we were.

It is curious, is it not? I have long felt that the weight of "coincidences" is a clear demonstration of corruption. Just wonder about its provenance. Who is calling the shots? A list of 'Bama boosters would probably provide a big clue. Just sayin'.

But isn't his job to WIN games???? Do you really care??? Miles is a great guy, AND he wins games.... So you have the best of both worlds.......... I could care less about a coaches personality as long as does what he's PAID for. WIN GAMES and titles..........

It has nothing to do with grammar, bruh.

You said you could care less. So you do care about a coach's personality. You're a very sensitive man, PEEJ, I can tell. It's OK to let it out occasionally.
