Coach Nick Saban broke down the challenge of facing an electric LSU offense and quarterback in Jayden Daniels who is a very real Heisman candidate at the moment.

“We played against him last year,” Saban said on his radio show, per On3. “First of all, the guy is an outstanding athlete. He’s a dual-threat quarterback. He can run, he can make you miss, he can extend plays, and he’s a really good passer. And they have really good skill guys on offense.

“They have great balance on offense too. They run the ball effectively. They got a really good scheme in terms of how they use (Jayden Daniels) to create triple option-type plays that you have to defend — which really helps their running game. Not just because he can run but it helps their runners run because of the way you have to defend (Daniels) on the perimeter.”

Saban knows that he'd be winning a championship if Bama had LSU's offense this year.

And LSU would be winning a championship with Bama’s defense.

Saban should have stayed. He knows it although he will never admit it. He would have more 5 more championships at lsu then he's had at bama

This is exactly how I read Saban’s quotes.

I mean you could say the same thing for any team that's in the top 50ish on defense.

But he did admit it. He said leaving LSU was the biggest mistake he ever made.

I also believe he'd have more had he stayed here than at Bama. We would have completely owned the SEC.

Jayden Daniels is living rent free in little Nick’s head. It’s all he can think about.

Saban is usually complimentary about his future opponent regardless of who it is. You’re kidding yourself if you think he’s “scared” (living rent free in his head).

I will admit he’s always had trouble with running quarterbacks.

Texas A&M’s Heisman QB comes to mind vs Ala. Ok, maybe Saban is not scared, but he’s definitely concerned.

I don’t think there’s a game where he isn’t concerned. It’s just the way the guy is wired. That’s why he loses his mind on little details during games.

He’s a tactician.

I’m not defending him, just pointing it out.

No doubt, and Denbrock will adapt to counter it. Complete in total faith LSU’s OC
