Great article. JL has shown how to be a true team guy. Many thanks and much respect to that man for everything he did for LSU this year. :geaux tigers:

This backup sure does get a lot of attention.
Wonder why?

Funny when the shoe was on the other foot JJ made the following comment regarding being the starting QB:

"It's a personal goal of mine," he said. "It's very important to me. I would do whatever it takes to get to that situation, but as of right now it's for what's best for the team."

I'm posting an all-American reject song tomorrow as jj's farewell tune.
Care to guess which one?

You're right, it's not funny. We have a 4th year senior QB that still thinks its all about him.

he was asked if he wanted to start, he said yeah, but right now it's what's best for the team. what's the problem?

I think ppl have tried way too hard to make some Jordan/ J Lee beef that's not there. they may not be best friends, but both have been supportive of the other and have said as much repeatedly over the yrs.

Context. Look into it.

God forbid JJ stated he wanted the starting job back when asked a direct question about it.

No different than JL wanting the same thing.

Wanting it and saying it are two different things. By saying it in the interview, JJ made it about him and not the team. Everybody who plays a sport wants to start, that is common sense, but that doesn't mean you make that kind of statement in an interview when your team is 5-0 without you.

He's taken over in Pat Forde's absence....he's no Pat Forde.

I don't read ESPN anyways, unless specifically linked.
