New turf

Anyone know if the are replacing all of the turf in Tiger Stadium? I was there today taking my daughter to take the ACT and they were unloading rolls of new turf. Wonder how long it will take them to kill this grass too?

Word is it was part of the deal after the the Bayou Country Superfest that money was in the contract to replace the turf. So yes new turf in TS

I meant the maintenance crew dumb arse. I know they replace it every couple years.

Thanks LSUFootballLover, at least not all of the people here are smartasses. I was wondering how they could let the concert into the stadium, but I guess if they replace the turf for us it was a win win situation.

I spoke with the contractor putting in the new turf. Its the same burmuda strand that is currently in the Jacksonville Jags stadium. He said the hotter the better the grass will do

This was taken during the LSU v Arky game last year. I really don't see that big of an issue. The picture quality is kinda shitty

BCSF fricked up the field so I think this is the most logical answer

most years yes but last season it actually held up good and looked great at the end of the season.

The field was sprayed to kill weeds a month before BCSF and it was brown dead in patches. It looked horrible.
I always find it funny an ag school that developed the research for various strains of field turf for various climates cant grow grass in its own stadium
