I'll be the first to say I don't know jack shite about basketball (relatively speaking, I know the rules and follow distantly) but the excitement surrounding this program is starting to get me excited. I'm hoping to become more involved (meaning I show up for the games).

Especially with the news of some high profile recruit actually wanting to come play for us next year. I'm hoping this turns this program around.

Upgraded my tickets from last week's $100 ones up at the top because I think eventually this may be a tough ticket to get. Johnny Jones seems to be doing great things and I like that we have a local guy.

Anywho, I'm down at the bottom now. Only was $615 for two tickets which I think is pretty much a steal. And they told me they were renewable and upgradeable.

I have given LSU TAF $0 in the past so to still be able to get such good tickets in one of the 100 section I thought was amazing.

Might want to jump on board before all the Football holders decide to get them just because. Last major sport an average fan can still hold decent season seats.

Bought a pair when they went on sale Thursday. And I'm a poor 20-something. No excuse for the OT ballers.

I just picked up another season ticket behind our bench this year.

I couldn't commit to the whole season because of my work schedule and hunting season, but I'll definitely be getting a mini-plan when they go on sale.

They're too cheap not to commit IMO- even the $100 weren't bad. I gave up some in 335 for my upgrade.

Well, I'll probably keep these the rest of my life. They weren't too expensive for two (2) tickets and they were in section 214- which I think is exactly incredible.

I could still get ones in the 100s if I really wanted them too. I think eventually LSU basketball will be a hot ticket again.

How much did you pay for yours?

Hate to be that guy, but Simmons is 2 years away from stepping on the court at LSU.

Nevertheless, JJ has brought some buzz back to the program. Since I moved back to BR in 2008, I've attended as many basketball games as I could even though I wasn't a season ticket holder. Believe me, it wasn't difficult to buy the cheapest ticket available and still sit in the most expensive seats. That was still very much the case last season, and will probably be the same for this years OOC schedule. However, before last season I decided to "buy low" and purchase season tickets with the thought that if this program gets headed back in the right direction, availability is going to drop dramatically and prices are going to rise just as quickly. For anyone on the fence, now is the time jump in on season tickets. The Assembly Center was a mad-house in the 80's, and there's no reason to think it wont get back to that point with some sustained success. Also remember that the PMAC only holds a little over 13,000, therefore it might be tough to get in 2-3 years down the line.

This is what I figured. I think tickets where I'm sitting are $18-$25 single game SEC? I wanted the rights to the seats. I grew up poor and never had them for any sport until last year- 1 year for football and now basketball. I'm pumped.

B-ball is so cheap. Each ticket behind the bench with access to Legends Club is $750. The TAF fee is what gets you.

Little too rich for my blood. Glad I stuck with mine. $300 TAF included.

I hear ya. That's why I edited my post to exclude the cheap comment. I should have said "cheap in comparison to football".

Oh, I don't take offense. Stuff costs money and I spent what I was comfortable with- just so happen I got good seats too.

It all goes back to my comment about how this is a great time to get in because they haven't out priced the average fan. Not saying if they become good they won't break your wallet but if the prices go up, just take it someone wants to buy your tickets.

I'll probably go to every game now because I have better seats.

It's a new day in LSU basketball. It was obvious the direction of this team was positive with JJ after last season and some of the big names we keep on getting in recruiting each year.

I think what's great about this year's team is the fact we will finally have depth.

I couldn't agree more. I'm surprised more people aren't getting in this year. Best thing about it is that you will be grandfathered in at that TAF donation even if they lift them. At least that's the way it is now.

Awesome. I'm only paying $50 this year. I may move more toward center court next year if the angle bothers me in 214.

I'm kind of concerned about sitting in the corner but whatever. I'm right near the LSU bench. Could be worse.

The money wasn't the issue. I bought a pair for $100 each back in '09 and I ended up not being able to make it to several and felt bad about it, even though none of those games were sellouts. Hopefully the demand for tickets is high once SEC play rolls around and I wouldn't want them to be unavailable if other people would use them.

I missed one game from 1984 to 1993.
I would buy tickets in a sec, but I visit my clients at night.

Cool. The poor girl that I booked with told me there were seats available "in every section".

I was pretty shocked to be honest. $100 a head though was worth it just to retain the rights. I wanted to upgrade a bit last week but thought better against it.

I just got fired up today with this new recruit and pulled the trigger. Even though he is a few years away, it'll be a good team and a fun time.
