absolutely classless. There's no reason why the AD/BOS couldn't have let the season play out. If a change was going to be made, fine, but I don't think Miles should have had to put up with the BS he's had to over these last two weeks. I get that coaching major CFB is big business, but how about treating others as you would want to be treated? If this is how Alleva/LSU does business, why would any coach in a comparable situation (ex: Jimbo) want to come work for him?

Again, I've never been a Miles fan and I do think it's time for him to go but the way LSU is going about this seems really slimy.

No matter what happens with Miles, Alleva should be fired.

After what Miles did to J Lee in 2011, he deserves every bit of this shite.

LSU leaked it to get the ball rolling.

It's tough, but they had to leak the story to get this thing moving so they could have their guy right when the season is done.

If LSU fires Miles they will already have a guy in place, no way in hell we go conduct a "search."

Oh, ffs. For the ridiculous amount of money Alleva guaranteed him, even for crappy coaching jobs, Les should be kissing Alleva's butt.

Do you think Alleva has handled this properly? This is one of his main responsibilities and he has made a mess of it. I have not stated whether I want Les to stay or go. I don't like that how this has been handled.

Agree. We need to get rid of Aleva first. Hire back Herb Vincent as AD. Then replace Miles, Peveto, Cam and Steele. Keep O and Wilson.

You have absolutely no clue if it was leaked by Alleva! That is PURE rumor. You are bashing people for things that you think they MIGHT have done! Get out of there!

You are assuming a lot. E.g., I am certain Miles-to-Michigan was leaked to Herbstreit.

Of all the things that remain "up in the air," the only thing that should be considered as guaranteed is that Alleva will f_ck it up somehow.

I wouldn't bet more than a dollar, that's the case.

You seem to be more pissed of over this than Lee is. Lee has been back to LSU and was shown at a game smiling and laughing with Miles.
So how it is Lee is ok with it and you aren't?
Explain please.

Only way this works IMO.

We have to already have a guy in place.

No way we fire Les and then a start a 2 week search in December.

Would be a disaster.

Using one wrong to justify another wrong is not a good argument, imo.

Alleva deserves opportunity to hire a coach. It's his job duty.

I hope this is true. If not this will become a mess.

Perhaps it goes down like is: LSU fires Les, LSU's chosen replacement leverages a raise out of current employer, LSU is left scrambling. Not that unlikely.
