UL's played without two starters since the first loss to LSU and lost its shortstop during conference play. There was scuttlebutt they could have two of the three back for regional play.

Shortstop has worked herself back, though doubt she’s fully recovered.
CFer was lost before the LSU games, I think. Regardless, she hasn’t seen the field since getting injured running into a teammate on a fly ball. Don’t see how she’s back for this weekend.

Who knows, maybe Howard is going to batting clinics this week. For us to get out of this regional, we will need Pleasants, Clark, Doyle and Sunseri to mash this weekend. If they continue to hit as poorly as they have lately (with the possible exception of Pleasants) we will struggle to make it out. As far as the rest of the lineup I expect no better and hopefully no worse than what we have been getting

I mean this team is likely two-and-barbecue in OKC, likely getting thumped both games. But it would be a big shot in the arm for this program to make another WCWS appearance. We really need it.
