SIAP...Per Moscona:

Re: LSU Spring Game at Southern

NCAA rule prohibits Spring Game in location outside of where regular season games are played. Exception granted to play at SU. NOLA, Shreveport and others were rejected.

LSU was lucky Southern was available and a willing host.

Wasn’t that put in place because of Michigan trying to play their’s off campus/use as a recruiting tool a few years back?

It makes sense. If we were allowed to go to NOLA, Houston, etc to have our spring game it would have opened the door for every Bama, Michigan, Georgia to do field work during their spring game and move theirs to a recruiting hot bed.

I get it.

I don't see why people get so upset over people not wanting to go to a certain area of town with a horrible reputation and all ran down and ugly. It's the people of that area that makes the place safe or not safe no matter what color skin is predominantly in the area. That's not racist, but then again... One can be labeled that no matter what the situation is or argument. It's basically just a scapegoat for dumbasses who have no argument or explanation so they say racist. That label won't change a damn thing for the area of town nor will people feel sorry for the behavior and raising of children that creates the problem in the first place. If kids keep idolizing being a thug or gangsta then well.. frick there is your problem. The truth hurts doesn't it!?

Miami hurricanes played their spring game in Orlando. FIU’s campus is located 15mins away and FAU’s campus is located 35mins away. They played the game 4 hours away. Moscona needs better info.

I mean they could have just done it at the practice facility. It's going to air live on SEC network or ESPN so either way it's all the same to me.

Right, We know those white school shooters nut up on school campuses...

SU will need to beef up security....We wouldn't want to be the next casualty. Maybe Bullet Proof vest are needed.

The crowds at the spring games are fairly sparse to begin with...doubt this will help anyway...
I would just broadcast it on tv from the practice facility...
