NCAA Record for career 200 yard rushing games is 11

Held by 3 players:
Ricky Williams
Ron Dayne
Marcus Allen
Marcus Allen also has the record with 8 in one season.
I looked to try to find most consecutive 200 yard rushing games but could not find it. If Leonard can keep it up he will be in some elite company.

If he can keep it up vs an SEC schedule he will be the GOAT.

Agreed. The Bama and Ole Miss road games will be crucial to his Heisman hopes. If he can have solid games (>100yds) in those two even if we don't win them, then take care of business in all of the other games he can do it.

I can see 150 vs Bama and Ole Miss. If he got 200 burgers against both that will be surreal. Add superb performances in playoffs and he becomes the GOAT and others that follow will be compared to him instead of Herschel Walker, Bo Jackson, Marcus Allen etc. That is not even counting what he can do next year:).

If things fall right I could see 200 vs Ole Miss if things fall right. They are very good on defense, but no depth. If we can control the time of possession, we can wear them down in the second half. Bama, well, that will be a tough one, but it always is.

Ole Miss maybe Bama will be super tough. But then again Bama could pull another TO fest, Dural may learn to catch again and Humphrey could end up flat footed on a busted coverage. Quinn was getting open last year vs Bama but could not hold on to the darn rock when it his hands!

Just read on Wiki Barry Sanders had 5 consecutive 200yd games. They had shorter seasons back then too. Avg 238yds/game. Same season he had over 300yds in 4 games.

That's sick. I remember watching him as a teenager, but don't remember all of the stats.

I believe the season was only 11 games when Allen set that mark, so it should be a good straight-up comparison at the end. No asterisk. I think LF can do it. My only concerns are Bama and Miss on that front. Maybe Florida.

That's nice but individual records do not equal wins by the team. LSU football matters more than any individual's records set.
If LF holds the record and LSU goes 8-3 or 9-2, we don't win the west or play in the SEC championship.
The opponents get progressively tougher thru the remaining schedule. If we can't throw or catch the ball effectively, LF will not reach this record against 8 or 9 man fronts.

So is it taboo to discuss what could potentially be an historic season by one of our players because the passing attack is shite?
Fournette achieving those individual milestones will be the difference between 8-3 and 11-0/10-1.

If Leonard rushes for 200+ against ole miss and Bama, I think we've got a pretty good shot at winning those games.

Nobody ever said it was, and the whole purpose of this thread is individual records.
