My TV gets turned on for Netflix/Hulu Plus old timer.

Hell, prime time television is practically like watching soft porn.
First of all, no it's not. Apparently you've never seen what you speak of. Second of all, if you don't like it, watch something else.

Every year, more and more curse words are deemed allowable on cable networks.
Jeez, you are one freedom hating dude. Yet again, DON'T WATCH IT.

The "n" word is thrown around by all races and actually is being fought for to be a socially acceptable word.
It isn't sociably acceptable. Say it in a job interview, see if you get it.

Recreational drugs are viewed by many as "not a big deal".
Tune in, and Drop Out

All of these are prime examples of, "people are going to continue to break the rules, so we might as well just accept it."
Or society has deemed weed to not be a big deal, which it honestly isn't. This is borderline straw man, but women used to not be able to vote... society finally saw the error of their ways and fixed it through grass roots campaigns.

Put it this way, I have two young children. I can almost guarantee that the things I worry about my kids experiencing when they get older are not nearly the same concerns as my father had for me.
Oh, so your father liked an increased crime rate, murder rate, chances of dying of disease, worse medicine, and lesser technology.

I don't expect you or anyone to agree with me. Hell, maybe I'm just too old fashioned.
Put a guy to work and build a panic room.

I'm not even that old, but the things that we now find acceptable and appropriate is ridiculous.
With social media it has just come to the fore front. All this shite went on for decades without people saying a damn word. Now athletes can't fart without someone knowing.
And btw, a lot of things that weren't socially acceptable, were because people don't know jack shite. Just think, it wasn't acceptable for my grandfather to show affection toward his children, what kind of shite is that? It wasn't acceptable to have women in the work force, let a lone have professional sports leagues. Who deemed these so called words bad? If someone says bitch or arse, I just go about my day, the world doesn't stop because someone on TV said arse.

It was never unacceptable for a woman to work. It was just very uncommon and I guess you could say looked down on to a certain extent. As far as curse words go, the Bible speaks at some length about refraining from saying them and is probably the reason some people wish not to hear them. Or as with me, I was taught that it showed unintelligence and a limited vocabulary (which isn't always true but is more often than not).

So much for the NCAA as the beacon of ethics and morals. They may have to change their Mission Statement.

Most suspensions are from school administered tests anyway which is why some athletes only miss a game or two. When I was a student-athlete guys knew when the NCAA was coming to test. NCAA penalty is greater than that of the university.

I wouldn't ever do pot or other drugs, but I don't understand why athletics feels the need to test for non-performance-enhancing drugs. We aren't randomly tested in the medical field, for example, where it actually could matter to patient safety.
