In the SEC Tournament, we were the visitor against a 10 seed.

Someone explain how we could possibly be visitor at our own regional? How is this possible?

I’m seriously asking for insiders that can explain how the ncaa justifies making a home team a 1 seed yet the visitor against a lower seed.

It’s based on how many times you’ve been the home team during the tournament. If the number is the same, then home team goes to the higher seed.

If you are the higher seed, you should be the home team. Period.

It adds more meaning to a 56 game season.

They even changed the rules this year, to be more favorable to the host. But sure, let's explain it for the umpteenth time.

If Jay has eaten an odd number of pickles on the weekend then we are the visitor, but if he has had a beef jerky within 2 hours of any pickle then that pickle is not included in the count.

Idk I guess they think playing in your park and guarantee to bat last every game is too big an advantage. IMO makes hosting not that big a deal, just convenient for your fans.

You are “hosting”. It’s a neutral tournament.

You mad a poor assumption that seeding determines home team.

Tad, we missed our preseason Tadelatt predictions on every game of the 56 regular season schedule.

This happened in the softball super regional last weekend. Clemson was the home team against Oklahoma, at Oklahoma.

The home field advantage is sleeping in your own bedusing your facilities and having 90 percent of the crowd on your side.

The gameplay is designed to be neutral.

Well that’s just dead wrong. Miami is the higher seed against ULL and they’re the away team in the game I’m watching right now. Same for several other games on right now

Why were Florida and Kentucky, and several others hosts the away team yesterday?

You're link is from an announcement this January so it probably doesn't go into effect until next year.

I've never understood why this isn't the case.

Hosting a regional and earning a top seed should absolutely mean something beyond just not having to travel.

Higher seeds should be rewarded

Right, I heard this too. But Alabama was the visiting team last night at home.

Kendall interpreted the rule wrong. Higher seed is #4 on the list of importance.

So why was Florida not the home team yesterday?

This is my question too. Florida/UK and their opponents had both been home team the first game. So why didn’t the high seed rule apply?

I’m frustrated and idc if the rule has been around since 1908, I’m asking for an explanation cause no other level treats home teams like this
