I know they said it will rotate between 6 bowls.

Have they said which bowls they will be?

Rose, Sugar, Orange, Fiesta....Cotton? Peach?

Jerry wants the National Championship game, not a semi final. And he will make it happen.

I live in atlanta. Its still the peach bowl to everyone here.

The "chik fil a" bowl is a good draw. Atlanta is a prime market for hosting huge events. Final Fours, Super Bowls, SECCG, SEC Basketball Tournaments, etc...

I feel certain Atlanta will eventually host the National Title game

If I were him I would fight for the guaranteed game first....I mean hell the championship game is going to be bid out every year......now it wouldn't surprise me if he got it in the 1st year of this playoff system.

However....IMO getting the Cotton Bowl to the level of the Rose, Sugar, Fiesta, and Orange is very important.

I can see the National Title game rotating between the common cities that host the Super Bowl. Im sure itll be in NOLA, Atlanta, Tampa, Dallas fairly often

Chuck Carlton ?@ChuckCarltonDMN Source confirms that the Rose Bowl and new Champions Bowl (SEC/Big 12) will be part of six-bowl semifinal rotation. Four TBA.

It looks like Rose, Orange, Sugar, Fiesta, Cotton, and Champion's Bowl.

Oh yeah, the bowl the Big 12 and the SEC agreed on. I didn't think that started for a few years though. Like 2015 or 2016.

I don't see how that would work now though? The semi final is only two games and what happens the years when that game isn't hosting and the SEC champ or Big 12 champ is in the top 4?

I guess its the same situation the Rose Bowl runs in to now with their stupid Pac 12/Big 10 thing.

What happens if the Big 12 and SEC champions aren't in the playoff discussion but the Sugar Bowl and "Champion's Bowl" are slated to host playoff games that year.....I guess they get at large spots in the Rose, Fiest, and Orange?

The Rose Bowl would shite if something like OK State vs Auburn were to happen in that situation

I know, I was being sarcastic. I actually hate that they took the classic names of all the bowls and use sponsors like Chik-fil-a, Little Caesar's, Crap One, etc. etc. and especially the Beef O'Brady's bowls. I understand marketing and commercialization, but at what price

Yeah. Chik Fil A is huge here in Atlanta and Truett Cathy (chikfila guy) is one of the most philanthropic people in the country but its so stupid to act happy when Florida is playing in the Chik Fil A Bowl.

I actually think the Cap 1 and ChikFilA Bowl have higher pay outs than the Cotton Bowl....but personally, it seems much more awesome to go play in the Cotton Bowl

Just wait until Preparation H or Ex Lax or Trojans get into the bowl business. Then we'll find out who the real whores are.

As I understand the consensus of the talking heads, a bowl city that is not in that yr's rotation for the 2 semi final games can bid for the NCG, i.e. the Sugar Bowl/N.O can bid for it if it is not hosting one of the games. It would be nice if the NCAA would try & place the 4 teams as close to their respective universities as possible, like basketball tries to some extent, to cut down on travel costs for back to back games out of town. And how would this impact the SECCG's in Atlanta attendance, the winner of which could potentially have to make 2 more significant out of town roadtrips ( not worrying bout O. Miss as they will never make Atlanta)?

I've read that the site for the NCG will be set a yr ahead of time, so I presume the seedings sites' would be as well? i.e. where #1 vs #4 & #2 vs #3 games are played will be set up before the season starts? Karma if the Sugar is in the rotation & LSU draws it, by courtesy of our ranking, to play there. And USC is the other team.
