Lsu wins 2/3 at state. Kentucky wins 2/3 vs Florida. Both teams immediately lose out in Hoover. Which team gets national seed?

Kentucky. Higher RPI. Head to Head advantage.

So would LSU have to win the tourny if that scernario were to happen with both taking 2/3 this weekend?

Interesting, so if we want to win SEC we need Kentucky to beat Florida but lose a game and we need to sweep state. Correct? Do we want to root for Kentucky or not????

LSU will get the NS in this case .. UKs stadium holds like 4thousand less rowdy fans + Louisiville is guaranteed a national seed already. They won't give supers to both those teams. No one will go.

Kentucky and LSU would both have Bye's in the tournament. So each team will have two games at least. If UK loses the first two and LSU wins 3, I think it'll be a coin flip.

No. We need to separate ourselves from UK as much as possible. Want UF to sweep

Better off just hoping for UK to get swept and quick exit in Hoover, coupled with LSU winning MSU series and perform well in Hoover.

are bids still submitted to host a regional? if so IDK how LSU can ever miss out on a super unless they are just awful or the AD doesn't submit a good bid.

This. Would lose SEC regular season title but would help get a national seed if we take care of business.

Worst case is a Florida winning 2-1. Then we need to rely on Clemson falling.

We could be 2 and 3 in the SEC tourney and meet each other in the 3rd round and will potentially be a very meaningful game.

I have heard the Cmte doesn't really look at the tournaments to make yes/no decisions, and I think their history bears that out.

As much as I hate f.u., the best scenario is them sweeping and LSU winning 2 or 3 at State.

This isn't fair, but a reliable large crowd is a factor if teams are close. The committee will not admit this of course. However, it clearly plays to LSU's favor.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the NCAA get the gate revenue from the tourney games.

Unless we sweep MSU or win 2/3 and make a very deep SECT run I dont see us getting a national seed...that is assuming UF just doesnt sweep UK.

We just need to play ourselves into a national seed this weekend while Clemson continues to play their way out. They went from 16-4 in the ACC to 16-11 in the last few weekends.

The ACC currently is projected to get 3 national seeds in Louisville, UNC, and Clemson. If we play well the next couple weekends and they continue in the direction they're trending the SEC might wind up with 3 national seeds in LSU, UF, and UK.

I think the only part of your scenario that's needed is taking 2 of 3 from MSU.

It would be nice and helpful for UF to take at least 2 from UK.

It would also be nice to have a little success in the tournament, but it's not as necessary as the first two.

LSU didn't look too sharp in that series up in Lexington. Unlikely there will be different results in any postseason contests, should they occur.
