Yes, I like Skip and a statue outside the stadium is plenty to honor any LSU great but I hate the naming of a field. It just seems like they are trying too hard.
Might as well come up with some more.
Albert Bell stadium seats
Alex Bregman dugouts
Warren Morris outfield fence
Todd Walker bases
Smoke Laval restrooms
DJ LeMahieu light poles
Aaron Nola concession stands

Agree. Excessive naming is dumb. You can honor legitimate legends with statues, jerseys or banners. There is a finite number of stadiums, arenas, etc.
