My thoughts on the game last night

after sleeping on it. The beginning of the game gave flashbacks to the 07 team. The offense was hitting on all phases. The defense was lights out and in the backfield. It gave me a feeling I haven't felt in awhile that was reminiscent of our first game against Virginia Tech. We just looked like a dominate team ready to beat down anyone in front of us. Then it all happened and the play calling turned into a continuation of recent years. It was like a wet dream turning into a nightmare. It reminded me of the scene in The Shinning with Jack Nicholson and the hot lady in the tub. The most frustrating part is that we have the best talent as a collective whole of ANY team in the whole league. We have A QB. We have a beast of a running game. We have a great defense. The problem is the obvious...our coaches play calling reminds of a kid who doesn't know anything about football playing NCAA on PlayStation calling the same 4 plays over and over again. I realize they were trying not to overwhelm BH, but the kid was throwing strikes and making all the right decisions. The point is they didn't not protect BH's confidence last night, they hindered it. Oh and all the people bitching about the defense...come on they were tired as hell last night. Anyone who can not figure that out is not paying attention. Anyway, the post game interview on the field was a typical Miles response...the man seems clueless and that is what is frustrating. I hope the coaches fix their problem, but it's hard feeling confident. That being said we have a bad arse team.

This board wants pretty. And Les Miles doesn't do pretty.

Yup, but it is like having a bad arse painter and giving him two colors to paint with. All this potential and a refusal to TRY and use it.

This analogy cracked me up.

I'd say it was more similar to the UNC game to start the 10 season

I think this board just wants LSU to be the best it can be. This board wants LSU to play to its potential. Sure, they will make mistakes along the way, but damn it, LSU cannot be as one dimensional as they appear to be and achieve their goals.

It's sad when I really began wondering if perhaps there really was an armchair QB that could call a better game and pull it out due to the talent we HAVE.
