I posted this late last night when it was kind of dead so just wanted to repost. I think we got out played by a team that is as good as any team in the nation no matter what their ranking is. Florida looked very fast and took control of the trenches throughout the game. As much as i hate to say it, Tebow was pretty damn good tonight. I think Lee looked very strong at some points and then looked like a inexperienced QB in others. He will learn from this game and it will only make him better. I think we abandoned the run a little to soon. Keep in mind that our secondary is very young. That is going to bite us when we play in such a dominant conference. I will never doubt a Les Miles coached team. He will have these kids ready for next Saturday and put this one away. 2 national championships in five years speaks volumes for this program. We might take some lumps, but we will be back on top sooner than later. GEAUX TIGERS!

I agree! This is a very young team that just got punched in there faces.I think this is a wake up call for them. They can take alot from this game to really see there weaknesses in the defense and there offense.this team at QB lookes alot like the J Russel and M Randle Sabans last year at LSU.Look at how good J Russel was the next year! They are still my team and They will get back on top!

The most suprising part is our offensive and defensive lines, we could not get blocks to run the ball and we could not stop their runs.

Agreed, i did not expect to get dominated in the trenches. I thought that was the area that we would easily win. Florida stepped up to the challenge and played a near flawless game. I think we should live and die with Lee. He shows signs of a pretty damn good QB and will only get better. Another thing, if McRay breaks up that pass on Floridas first drive, we might have a totally diff ball game. That was a big time play.

That tip pass for Florida's first touchown appeared to be a omen. Games like this happen. See it all the time in the pros. The important thing is to get back up and get going again. Saw some positive things. Like some of the plays Coleman made.

Great posts here. Intelligent analysis on all posts. And I think you all are right.

Look at what LSU has accomplished. Even though I will wince at having to re-live this pain when this score is brought up next time we play Florida, we won’t care if LSU is winning again.

What I'm trying to say is: we are now a top-tier team and therefore not accustomed to getting our you-know-what handed us like this. But when Miles brings us to another NC or major bowl game (and he will), I will not be thinking of this game, nor any other where we did not play to our level of expectation.

i just think its funny that when we lose one game all these front-running fans start bitching and crying about how bad our defense is, how our coaches suck, blah blah blah. This just in, your gonna get beat sometimes and every now and then, its gonna be a pretty bad beating. This happens when you have so much youth on the field. We might even lose again this year but the guys will learn from everything that happens and they will be better because of it.

The last thing I expected this year was LOS domination. I wasn't worried about the QB situation, but was concerned with the defensive backfield. But I never expected to see our offensive and defensive lines play this way. Also, by this time of the year, I expected the secondary issues to clear up a bit. Let's hope this lights a fire under the staff for the next week. Don't care if it's a 3-2 win, we need a win very badly this week.

Agreed, the lines getting dominated was very disturbing. I dont see this happening again this year because I think the lines will be out to prove something the rest of the season. We have way to many good lineman to get whipped like they did last year. Im eager to see what happens next week against a pretty good defense.

we really need to get this fixed. our o-line should be the strength of this team and they failed last night. pass protection was great, but we couldnt get the run going at all. it doesnt help that we were playing from behind with a young qb, so they could crowd the box. our d line really really needs to step up soon or we are gonna be in big trouble.
