Here in central Louisiana, in the early nineties, all the "playas" were wearing Nebraska and Florida State jerseys.

In 2003, that all changed.

When you look for those who wear purple and gold through the bad times as well as the good, the herd gets a lot thinner.

I've been out of the state for 22+ years living overseas and various states. Because I'm in the Air Force and not always in the country I savor every game that I get to attend. I try to attend one game a year. Made it to the Florida game last year and the UWV last week. I never have and will never leave early and/or boo. I felt terrible last Sat as I sat in Tiger Stadium and heard the boo's and watched as "fans" left. I thought about how lucky those "fans" are to live in the area and can attend more games in one season than I can in 10 years. I wondered why would they boo and leave? It takes a year of planning for me to get to that historic stadium. The noise in that stadium gives me chills. I couldn't sleep Friday night in anticipation of walking into Tiger Stadium and watching the Tigers play. I know the offense is not where it should be and I know it's the coach's job to develop players and use the talent that they were fortunate to bring into the program. Time will tell and provide the answers. Just my 2 cents.....for what it's worth.
